Join our mission to level the playing field for small business owners through good design.\nAbout the role\nFlodesk’s finance team is building a modern FP&A function, and you’ll help shape it from the ground up.\nYou’ll own the financial model, the forecast and planning cycle, and the analysis behind our biggest decisions. You’ll report to our CFO who will work alongside you, shaping priorities and strategy while relying on your recommendations and point of view. You’ll also raise the bar on board reporting and become a go-to partner for teams across the company.\nThis role is for someone with deep subscription modeling expertise who thinks like an architect by designing models and workflows to be modular and auditable. We'll be a great match if you've led finance teams (either human or AI agent) and influenced an organization to make more precise decisions. \nWhat you'll do:\nCompany forecasting & planning\nOwn the modeling and mechanics of the company-wide forecast (P&L and balance sheet), partnering with the CFO on key assumptions and priorities\nBuild driver-based and scenario models that support strategic decisions\nSubscription & revenue modeling\nOwn modeling of billings, deferred revenue, and cash across monthly and annual plans\nAnalyze renewal rates, churn, subscriber mix, and cohort behavior\nPartner cross-functionally on CAC/LTV analysis and unit economics\nBoard & executive reporting\nBuild the financial analysis and materials for board meetings, working alongside the CFO, who shapes the overall narrative\nForm your own point of view on what the numbers mean and bring recommendations, not just reports\nSystems, automation, and AI\nDesign and own the FP&A data and automation layer, including how AI supports forecasting, variance analysis, and board reporting\nRedesign recurring workflows (forecast refresh, variance commentary, reconciliations) with automation and AI, with review controls built in\nDrive innovation by integrating AI and emerging technologies to improve forecasting workflows, controls, and documentation.\nOwn the FP&A calendar and strategic roadmap that prioritizes initiatives and guides how you and the CFO spend FP&A time\nAd hoc reporting\nDeliver ad hoc analyses and reporting that support executive and cross-functional decisions\nAssess and prioritize incoming requests to keep them aligned with FP&A's priorities and your capacity\nWhat you bring:\n6-10 years of experience in FP&A or corporate finance, ideally at a SaaS or subscription-based company\nYou’ve rebuilt a recurring finance process (variance commentary, forecast refresh, board pack drafting, reconciliations) with AI or automation, and can explain what you changed, how you validated it, and what it saved\nYou know where AI is reliable in finance and where it isn’t, and you build in reconciliation checks, review steps, and audit trails\nFluency in subscription and SaaS metrics (ARR, churn, renewal rates, CAC, LTV) and how they connect to the broader P&L, and balance sheetA strong technical finance foundation: you can build a driver-based, three-statement model from scratch and defend every assumption in it\nComfort with SQL or Python, or a demonstrated willingness to learn, to pull and shape subscription data from billing, CRM, and ERP systems\nYou design how models, data, and workflows fit together: assumptions separated from calculations, consistent metric definitions, clear documentation\nExtra points if you have:\nExperience modeling headcount and operating expenses alongside revenue\nBackground in FP&A tooling beyond Excel (Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, Power BI, or similar)\nExperience supporting board reporting or fundraising materials directly\nWhat we bring:\n$130,000 - $180,000 base salary, depending on your location and experienceTier 1 city residents: $150,000 - $180,000\nAll other locations: $130,000 - $160,000\n\nFully paid health insurance for individual coverage\n16 weeks paid parental leave for non-birthing parents; 22 weeks paid maternity leave for birthing parents\nUnlimited flexible time off\nStock options\n401(k) match (US employees only) \n$1,000 annual stipend for learning and development\nFlodesk is an equal opportunity employer.
