Working across a wide range of customer environments, you'll provide technical expertise across mechanical installations including fuel systems, pipework, exhaust systems, lift and shift operations, structural steelwork and associated infrastructure, helping to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.\nWhat you'll be doing\nProviding technical support for the installation of diesel and gas-powered generator systems.\nAssisting with the review of project drawings, specifications and site surveys prior to installation.\nSupporting mechanical design reviews and identifying potential installation challenges.\nCoordinating installation activities and ensuring compliance with project requirements.\nAssisting with the planning and coordination of generator lift and shift operations.\nWorking closely with lifting contractors, crane operators and transport providers to support safe equipment movements.\nSupporting the installation and integration of fuel tanks, fuel transfer systems, fuel polishing systems and monitoring equipment.\nAssisting with the installation and commissioning of fuel pipework systems, including mild steel, stainless steel and flexible fuel connections.\nSupporting the installation of generator exhaust systems, including silencers, flues, bellows, expansion joints and attenuation systems.\nAssisting with the design, procurement and installation of structural steelwork, bracketry and support systems.\nConducting site surveys, technical assessments and producing detailed reports and recommendations.\nCoordinating subcontractors and specialist suppliers to support successful project delivery.\nSupporting testing, inspections, snagging activities and project handovers.\nPromoting safe working practices and ensuring compliance with relevant health, safety and environmental legislation.\nWhat we'll need from you\nEssential\nExperience within generator installation, power generation, M&E, industrial plant or critical infrastructure projects.\nStrong knowledge of fuel systems, mechanical pipework, exhaust systems, generator installations and structural support systems.\nExperience coordinating lift and shift operations.\nAbility to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.\nStrong understanding of mechanical installation best practices.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications.\nFull UK driving licence.\nWillingness to travel nationwide and work on customer sites.\nDesirable\nSMSTS or SSSTS qualification.\nIOSH or NEBOSH certification.\nAppointed Person or Lift Supervisor experience.\nKnowledge of CDM regulations.\nExperience within standby power, data centres, healthcare, utilities or industrial sectors.\nWhy join DTGen?\nAt DTGen, our people are at the heart of everything we do.
