You'll lead multidisciplinary teams, manage key customer relationships and oversee the delivery of mission-critical power solutions across sectors including data centres, utilities, healthcare, industrial facilities, infrastructure, defence and energy.\nWhat you'll be doing\nLeading the delivery of power generation and modular infrastructure projects from concept through to commissioning and final acceptance.\nEnsuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and in line with contractual requirements.\nManaging project programmes using Microsoft Project and associated scheduling tools.\nCoordinating engineering, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, installation and commissioning activities.\nManaging project risks and implementing effective mitigation strategies.\nMonitoring project performance against key milestones, budgets and financial targets.\nProducing and presenting project reports, technical submissions and stakeholder updates.\nActing as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors and supply chain partners.\nProviding technical oversight across diesel and gas-powered generation systems, HV and LV switchgear projects and modular energy solutions.\nSupporting the integration of generation systems with switchgear, protection systems, synchronisation systems, fuel systems, cooling systems and associated infrastructure.\nManaging commissioning strategies, testing programmes and final project acceptance activities.\nPromoting best practice in health, safety, quality and environmental management across all projects.\nLeading multidisciplinary project teams while supporting the development and mentoring of engineers and junior project managers.\nDriving continuous improvement across project delivery functions.\nWhat we'll need from you\nEssential\nMinimum 10 years' experience within power generation, critical power, switchgear or energy infrastructure sectors.\nProven experience managing diesel and gas-powered generation projects.\nExtensive experience delivering HV and LV switchgear packages.\nStrong client-facing project management experience.\nExperience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams.\nProven commissioning and testing experience.\nStrong knowledge of power generation equipment and associated electrical infrastructure.\nExperience delivering modular construction or packaged energy solutions.\nHNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Mechanical or Power Engineering.\nSMSTS or equivalent Site Management qualification.\nFull UK Driving Licence.\nDesirable\nExperience delivering major infrastructure, utility or nuclear-related projects.\nExperience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).\nKnowledge of G99 grid connection requirements.\nFamiliarity with MCPD compliance.\nExperience with data centre standby generation systems.\nExperience managing Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).\nDegree in an Electrical or Engineering discipline.\nPrince2 Practitioner, APMP or equivalent project management qualification.\nMembership of a recognised engineering institution.\nWhy join DTGen?\nAt DTGen, our people are at the heart of everything we do.
