The posted range is intended to provide a general estimate and does not guarantee a specific rate of pay.\nPosition Summary: Analyzes all relevant credit and financial data used in evaluating the creditworthiness of commercial borrowers and in preparing of a comprehensive objective credit analysis in order to assist management in the loan decision making process; accompanies Loan Officer on business calls to existing and prospective customers as needed, and assists the Loan Officer in developing and preparing the loan proposal; provides administrative support to Commercial Lenders and Credit Officer.\nEssential Functions:\nConsistently provides superior professional service to internal and external customers.\nConsistently meet expectations of teamwork, punctuality and regular, reliable attendance.\nPrepares objective, written analyses of the Bank’s commercial and real estate loans to be used by lending officers and senior management in the loan decision making process. Demonstrates a solid ability to recognize and assess pertinent risks and identifies the impact of non-financial and external factors, which range from general economic issues to industry and management issues, may have on the borrower’s ability to meet its obligations.\nAnalyzes financial statements and cash flows in order to determine profitability, capital adequacy, liquidity, asset quality, and the ability to repay existing and proposed obligations.\nAccurately spreads financial statements, prepares, and maintains financial spreadsheets using department software. Performs personal cash flow analysis and personal financial statement analysis on individuals in order to determine liquidity, availability, and total liability.\nRemains current on all Bank credit policies and existing laws and regulations, verifying conformity and noting exceptions in existing and prospective credit relationships.\nGathers and assimilates appropriate data for each credit analysis and determines the need to request additional information. To complete work assignments on a timely basis, meeting applicable deadlines and working independently.\nIdentifies potential or developing problems within the loan portfolio and recommend risk rating adjustments.\nReviews commercial real estate appraisals for accuracy and confirms/accepts values.\nPrepares adversely classified loan memorandums for troubled borrowers outlining Bank risk and action plan.\nPerforms annual credit reviews of Bank’s largest borrowers to access on-going risk and repayment ability.\nOther Responsibilities: Assumes additional responsibilities, as requested.\n Education, Experience, and Skills Required :\nThe following skills, experience, or background are necessary (with or without accommodation) for this position.\nA bachelor’s degree or the equivalent work related experience in business, finance, or accounting in order to be able to analyze financial statements and to make industry evaluations.\nA high level of analytical ability and detail orientation to determine the loan risk involved and recommend credit limitation and structure.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nA minimum of one year of prior credit experience in a banking environment.\nStrong PC knowledge.\nPhysical Demands/Conditions Requirements:\nGeneral office environment.\nFrequent use of computer.\nSits for an extended period of time.\nEquipment Used:\nGeneral office equipment.\nAll employees handling customer accounts and transactions have a duty to report apparent suspicious activity and OFAC matches to the BSA Officer and the Security Officer.\nFlorence Bank is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
