To date, we were named a Deloitte Fast 50 business, G2 Category Leader, an Inc. & AJC best place to work, and an Inc. 5000 company five years in a row. \nAt Florence, we are committed to make the world a better place by accelerating research while providing an environment for our employees where they can be happy in their lives, enjoy their jobs, and grow. \nWhat You’ll Bring to The Team: \nWe are looking for an Engineering Manager to manage a group of teams and be responsible for their growth, performance, and productivity.\nYou will: \nConduct 1-on-1s, performance reviews, and career development conversations\nEnsure team alignment in the release planning and follow through the release cycle\nGoverning delivery teams to align with the company vision\nFoster team collaboration and resolve interpersonal conflicts\nParticipate in hiring and onboarding\nMaintain sufficient technical knowledge of the Node.js / Angular / MongoDB / PostgreSQL stack to guide technical discussions and unblock the team\nRun Agile delivery, hiring, performance management, and career development for the team\nProactively communicating with internal and external stakeholders on the current progress, and blockers\nAn Ideal Candidate is/has: \n8+ years of experience, including leading teams (indicative)\nDeep, hands-on expertise in people management, hiring, and mentoring\nStrong roadmap and prioritization skills, with experience in stakeholder management\nAdvanced Agile/Scrum delivery experience\nWorking knowledge of the engineering stack the team owns, with strong code/architecture review and technical judgement\nAdvanced AI leadership and fluency: champions AI-assisted development across the team (Claude Code / Cursor), understands LLM capabilities, limits, and responsible-use / governance, and drives adoption of AI in delivery and quality practices\nHaving advanced knowledge in engineering & release best practices\nAdvanced secure coding awareness (OWASP / OAuth / JWT)\nStrong communication, ownership, and accountability skills\nBonus points if you have: \nExperience scaling engineering orgs\nExperience with regulated software delivery (HIPAA / GxP / SOC2)\nWhat’s in it for you?\nDo well.
