Reporting directly to the Controller, this role will lead a team responsible for client accounting operations, reconciliations, strategic partnership support, transaction processing, and client asset management activities.\nThis position serves as a key bridge between Accounting, Treasury, and Client Services, helping ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial operations while supporting the company's continued growth, acquisition activity, and ongoing system transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys improving processes, and is comfortable wearing multiple hats.\nWhat You’ll Do\nManage and develop a team of up to five accounting and operations professionals. \nOversee client accounting operations, including account reconciliations, transaction processing, strategic partnership support, and cash-related activities. \nLead the reconciliation and reporting processes associated with significant client assets. \nPartner closely with the Controller and Senior Accounting Manager to maintain accurate financial records and strengthen internal controls. \nCollaborate with Treasury, Funding, Client Services, and Account Management teams to support client-related financial operations. \nAssist with onboarding and financial operations integration efforts related to acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and business growth initiatives. \nSupport ongoing platform migration and ERP enhancement projects, including process improvements and workflow optimization. \nParticipate in client-facing conversations and internal stakeholder meetings as needed to resolve financial and operational issues. \nDrive continuous improvement initiatives focused on scalability, automation, efficiency, and service excellence. \nEnsure compliance with internal policies, audit requirements, and external reporting obligations. \nPerform other duties as assigned.\nMaintain quality work that exemplifies and promotes our company’s core values.\nRequirements\nWho You Are\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. \n3+ years of progressive accounting experience. \nPrior experience leading or mentoring accounting staff. \nExperience in public accounting and/or a high-growth, fast-paced business environment preferred. \nStrong understanding of account reconciliations, month-end close, financial reporting, and accounting operations. \nExcellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. \nDemonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail. \nStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate across functions. \nExperience supporting systems implementations, process improvements, or business transformation initiatives is preferred. \nProficiency with ERP systems; NetSuite experience preferred. \nAn individual that understands the value of providing a high level of customer service.\n Work Environment\nThis person will work Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm EST with an hour lunch break. This role operates in a professional hybrid environment based out of our Charlotte office (off West Morehead) (3+ days in office). Roles may be approved for other schedules by managers. This role is mostly sedentary and consists of prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. This role also utilizes other tools such as a phone, copy machine, and printer. Common programs often used are Outlook, Word, and Excel.
