This Postdoctoral Fellow position is a 12-month appointment and has the potential for renewal contingent upon performance and funding.\nUICII advances production-scale intelligent infrastructure systems deployed across operational campus- and city-scale environments in partnership with municipal and industry collaborators. These deployments generate live data streams and provide a unique foundation for infrastructure-backed digital twins.\nThis position emphasizes real-time rendering, engine-level architecture, and scalable interactive systems for urban-scale environments.\nPosition Responsibilities\nArchitect and implement large-scale, real-time digital twin environments\n\nDesign rendering pipelines for photorealistic urban scenes at campus and district scale\n\nDevelop interactive systems using Unreal Engine or Unity (final platform selection is open)\n\nIntegrate live infrastructure telemetry into real-time visualization environments\n\nOptimize scene graphs, memory management, asset streaming, and runtime performance\n\nContribute to research proposals and peer-reviewed publications\n\nGenerative AI Integration\nGenerative scene synthesis and procedural world-building\n\nAI-assisted asset creation and semantic scene enrichment\n\nSynthetic data generation for perception and simulation\n\nEmbedding real-time inference within rendering pipelines\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Visual Computing, Interactive Media, or related fieldStrong C++ and/or C# programming expertise\nDemonstrated experience building complex environments in Unreal or Unity\nDeep understanding of real-time rendering architectures and performance optimization\nExperience designing scalable interactive systems\nStrong computational background\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with GPU programming, shaders, or advanced rendering techniques\nExperience integrating external APIs or live data streams\nBackground in distributed systems or edge-to-cloud architectures\n• Experience deploying AI models within interactive engines\nSalary:\n$60,000.00 - $70,000.00College or Department:\nUbicquia Innovation Center for Intelligent Infrastructure (UICII)Location:\nBoca RatonWork Days and Hours:\nN/AApplication Deadline:\n2026-05-25Special Instructions to Applicant:\nThis is a research or research-related support position.
