Also responsible for all sales, merchandising, technical information, customer product knowledge, and evaluating the area’s market needs and business conditions in their territory. Act with a solution-driven mindset to meet and exceed customer expectations.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nExceed sales and sales mix budgets while maintaining average discount/margin within agreed parameters. \nTarget, call on, and develop relationships through effective time management with Architects, Interior Designers, Specifiers, Flooring Contractors, National Accounts, and other channels. The primary goal is to specify our products in their projects and follow up throughout the various steps of the construction process to ensure the specification is maintained until the order is placed and the project is installed and completed.\n Prospect, qualify, and establish new customers while maintaining existing customers.\nSchedule regular product knowledge seminars with architectural and design firms using the proper tools to clarify information.\nRespond to the marketplace by providing value through being a knowledgeable rep with quick follow-up.\nAssess competitors, their product lines, and strategies and keep the Manager informed. \n Evaluate product field complaints and resolve them following company guidelines.\n Participate in industry associations and activities, i.e. ASID, IIDA, and NEWH.\nWork with the Branch team through the sales process.\n Utilize software to document project specifications and all sales-related activities.\nRecord appointments and visits, inventory, and specification info.\n Develop and execute presentations/CEUs. \nTravel throughout the assigned region to call on regular and prospective customers.\nIdentify and establish relationships with top architectural and design firms.\n Maintain architectural libraries clean and well-organized, replacing outdated sample tools and placing new products as they are available.\n Emphasize new product promotion during sales calls.\n Document projects, fill out and update registrations, and send quotes to the Manager.\n Complete and submit 30-60-90 reports monthly.\nProvide follow-up on lead services and document progress.\n Additional duties as assigned.\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nExceptional verbal and written communication skills\nAt least three years of commercial sales experience\nBachelor’s degree in interior design, Business, or Marketing preferred\nProficient in MS Office, CRM, and SAP\nAbility to achieve company goals with little supervision while still being a team player\nOverall analysis of the total and individual markets in order to set goals, plan and execute market research, forecasting sales and establishing new markets\nDevelopment, planning and the execution of yearly business plan\nOutgoing, high-energy, friendly personality with ability to shift gears and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment\nFrequent travel is required\nFlorida Tile provides an array of benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
