THE ROLE:

FloSports is seeking a highly analytical and commercially minded Senior Analyst to help identify, evaluate, and advance new sports, media rights partnerships, and revenue opportunities.

The Senior Analyst will build market and opportunity theses, develop business cases, evaluate deal economics, support diligence and negotiations, and help move opportunities through FloSports’ decision-making process. The role will partner closely with Rights Acquisition, sports vertical leaders, Advertising, Finance, Content, Production, and Operations.

Success will be measured by the quality and growth of the opportunity pipeline, the speed and rigor of deal evaluation, and the successful evaluation and launch of new sports and partnerships. Based in Austin, Texas, this role reports to the Director of Business Operations.

A few characteristics which will make you successful in this role:

  • You’re entrepreneurial, comfortable testing hypotheses, and persistent in advancing opportunities through ambiguity and roadblocks.

  • You’re collaborative and a quick study who can identify attractive commercial opportunities and the key drivers of scalable growth.

  • You’re humble, receptive to feedback, and willing to roll up your sleeves and do the work yourself when needed.

  • You can synthesize ambiguous problems and break them down into structured, manageable steps to solve.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Growth Strategy and Market Intelligence

  • Analyze audience behavior, participation trends, media consumption, competitive offerings, and emerging sports categories.

  • Assess potential subscription, advertising, sponsorship, event, and distribution revenue associated with new opportunities.

  • Conduct market mapping to identify underserved sports and emerging audience opportunities.

  • Maintain market intelligence on rights availability, pricing benchmarks, competitors, and prospective partners.

New Business Pipeline Development

  • Partner with leaders across FloSports’ sports verticals to identify emerging trends, size and value new opportunities, and assess barriers to successfully pursuing them.

  • Build and maintain a prioritized pipeline of sports, rights holders, events, and strategic partners.

  • Develop target lists, opportunity theses, deal proposals and present recommendations to senior leadership.

Deal Evaluation and Execution

  • Build business cases for prospective rights acquisitions and partnerships and evaluate alternative deal structures.

  • Evaluate prospective media rights agreements by modeling audience growth, subscription and advertising revenue, production and marketing costs, deal structure, and expected returns.

  • Review the performance of recently launched partnerships against their approved business cases and apply those findings to future deal structures.

  • Improve the tools, data, and workflows used to identify opportunities and execute deals efficiently.

Communications and Coordination

  • Coordinate internal stakeholders to move opportunities from initial evaluation through approval and execution.

  • Participate in partner outreach and discussions, develop meeting materials, and drive follow-up actions.

  • Develop pipeline forecasts and scenario analyses that estimate the timing, probability, investment requirements, and financial contribution of new opportunities.

  • Prepare concise, executive-ready materials that communicate opportunity recommendations, key assumptions, expected returns, risks, and proposed actions.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • 4+ years of experience in media-rights acquisition, business development, corporate strategy, investment analysis, transaction advisory, or strategy consulting.

  • Strong understanding of business valuation, deal economics, revenue modeling, scenario analysis, and investment decision-making.

  • Ability to manage multiple active opportunities, diligence workstreams, and time-sensitive executive requests.

  • Understanding of subscription metrics-including acquisition, plan mix, pricing, retention, churn, renewal behavior, and customer lifetime value.

  • Ability to synthesize complex information into concise, decision-oriented narratives for senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Strong business judgment, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to prioritize the most material drivers.

  • Experience using generative AI and automation tools to accelerate market research, opportunity screening, diligence, financial analysis, or deal preparation.

  • Ability to work independently, challenge assumptions constructively, and develop recommendations supported by data.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets, including formulas, pivot tables, data validation, scenario modeling, and executive-ready charts.

  • Experience with business intelligence, data visualization, CRM, planning, or financial-reporting platforms; familiarity with tools such as Salesforce, Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or similar platforms is beneficial.

BONUS

  • Experience in streaming media, live sports, digital media, entertainment, or subscription businesses.

  • Familiarity with sports-rights partnerships, live production, video technology, or direct-to-consumer platforms.

  • Experience working in a growth stage company.
