We offer an excellent comprehensive benefits package, a supportive and collaborative work environment, and endless growth opportunities.\nWe are actively hiring a Laboratory Technician to support our Orlando, FL site.\nShift: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM\nLocation: Onsite\nFLSA: Non-Exempt\nCompensation: Hourly based on experience ($22 - $25/hr)\nResponsibilities\nPerforms phlebotomy/venipuncture duties for research subjects as needed (maintains valid and updated phlebotomy licensing)\nProcesses laboratory specimens (centrifugation, pipetting, creating slides, etc.)\nPrepares lab kits and lab supplies for protocol required lab collections.\nTracks receipt of laboratory results and assists with filing.\nStocks lab supplies - unloads and organizes lab supplies in on-site lab supply storage room; maintains an inventory of lab supplies and re-orders when needed; assists in purchasing new equipment and supplies as needed\nPerforms point of care laboratory testing such as HbA1C, glucose, hematocrit, dipstick urinalysis, pregnancy testing as required\nTracks and maintains sample inventory logs for ambient and frozen specimens shipped to central lab(s)\nMaintains inventory of lab supplies and orders lab kits and lab supplies as needed.\nParticipates in research related meetings and training as a member of the research team; assists in the development of detailed lab manual describing the biospecimen processing protocols.\nMaintains and updates IATA certification for proper packing and shipping of lab specimens for the clinical trials\nResponds to laboratory queries.\nOther duties may be assigned by management.\nRequirements\nCertified Phlebotomist (Active License)\nIATA certification is preferred\nExperience performing phlebotomy with patients in a clinic or hospital setting\nExperience with clinical research is preferred but not required\nFamiliar with e-source reporting via an electronic platform\nA clear understanding of ICH, FDA, and GCP regulations\nImpeccable organizational skills and attention to detail\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with the Principal Investigator, research team, Study Sponsor/CROs, potential subjects, and referral sources\nAn ethical compass that compels the candidate to be honest, detail-oriented, and self-driven\nHigh-level critical thinking skills\nWorking knowledge of medical terminology and lab collection/processing/storage procedures\nProficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite\nBenefits\nFlourish Research offers an excellent comprehensive benefits package to include: Health, dental, and vision insurance plans, 401(k) with a 100% employer match on the first 4% of employee contributions, tuition reimbursement, parental leave, employee referral program, employee assistance program, life insurance, disability insurance, and a generous PTO plan covering vacation, sick, personal days and 8 paid holidays.\nFlourish Research is an equal employment opportunity employer.
