We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to take end-to-end ownership of key post-trade domains, helping shape the platform architecture while building reliable, automated, and data-driven services.\nThis role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, thinking in systems, and building high-quality platforms that deliver real business impact.\nWhat you will do\nOwn and develop critical post-trade domains such as reconciliation, settlement, booking, and reporting\nWork closely with Trading, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Data teams to understand workflows and requirements\nDesign and build scalable backend services and data pipelines\nImprove automation, data quality, resilience, and operational efficiency\nContribute to the target architecture and technical roadmap of the post-trade platform\nEnsure observability, reliability, and data correctness across systems\nWhat you need to succeed\n5+ years of experience building distributed backend systems using Java or C++, with exposure to Python\nStrong understanding of distributed systems, data structures, algorithms, and event-driven architectures\nExperience with messaging technologies such as Kafka\nHands-on experience building data-intensive systems, ETL pipelines, and analytical data solutions\nStrong SQL and data modelling skills\nProven ability to own complex technical domains from design through production support\nStrong stakeholder management and communication skills\nNice to have\nExperience with post-trade workflows, including reconciliation, settlement, booking, or regulatory reporting\nBackground in financial services, proprietary trading, or market making\nExperience with GCP, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Airflow, Spark, Flink, or similar technologies\nKnowledge of observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry\nWhat we offer\nAt Flow Traders, we create the conditions for hard-working, high-performing people to do their best work.
