You will partner with Finance, Operations, Shared Services, Internal Audit, and external auditors to strengthen SAP-supported controls, execute SOX compliance activities, and improve close and reporting processes.\nThis role combines hands-on accounting responsibilities with the opportunity to influence internal controls, process improvements, and audit readiness across a global organization. Your work will help ensure reliable financial information, effective control environments, and compliance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.\nKey Responsibilities\nMaintain accurate and timely financial records in accordance with U.S. GAAP, company accounting policies, and internal-control requirements\nCoordinate and drive all internal and external (statutory) audits for the site ensuring the timely and correct delivery of the information meeting all deadlines\nExecute SOX testing and reporting for SAP general controls, related control dependencies, and financial reporting processes\nPrepare clear audit workpapers, document test procedures and results, and communicate control findings and recommendations to management\nCoordinate with Internal Audit, Shared Services teams, and site stakeholders to support walkthroughs, documentation, and analytics\nAdvise project teams on control considerations for SAP S/4HANA, governance, risk, and compliance processes, and master data management\nComplete balance sheet account reconciliations, identify reconciling items, and ensure timely resolution in accordance with established requirements\nSupport monthly and quarterly close activities, including general ledger and consolidation-system loads, reporting templates, site analytics, and periodic information requests\nReview revenue accounting, inventory reporting, sales and bookings activity, reserves, accruals, and other accounting transactions for accuracy and policy compliance\nMaintain and periodically review key-control procedures, financial documentation, general ledger mappings, and supporting evidence for audit readiness\nDrive continuous-improvement initiatives that strengthen decentralized business processes, reporting accuracy, and control effectiveness\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.\nOne or more years of experience in cost accounting, revenue accounting, general accounting, audit, or internal controls within a manufacturing or industrial environment.\nWorking knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SOX compliance, internal controls, audit practices, and financial reporting requirements.\nExperience with inventory accounting, revenue recognition principles, and high-volume financial transactions involving products, customers, and invoices.\nAdvanced Excel skills, strong analytical judgment, and the ability to communicate financial and control-related information clearly.\nStrong organizational and project-management skills, with the ability to manage deadlines, work independently, and collaborate across teams.\nDemonstrated ethical judgment and commitment to financial accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with SAP, particularly SAP S/4HANA, including SAP controls, access/security concepts, and reporting processes.\nExperience with SAP Governance, Risk, and Compliance or Master Data Governance tools.\nExperience using financial consolidation and reporting systems such as BPC, Hyperion, or similar platforms.\nExperience supporting internal, external, or statutory audits in a public-company environment.\nExperience working with multinational teams, shared-service organizations, and manufacturing operations.\nKnowledge of ASC 606 revenue-recognition requirements and percentage-of-completion accounting.\nBenefits\nAt Flowserve, you’ll find a range of options designed to support you and your family’s needs.
