In this role, you will partner closely with Finance Business Partners and leadership teams to deliver financial insights, strengthen cost accounting processes, and ensure effective governance of the cost accounting model. This position offers the opportunity to drive continuous improvement, support strategic decision-making, and enhance operational efficiency across the organization.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead and develop the Cost Accounting team by setting priorities, managing workloads, and ensuring accountability for deliverables.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives focused on team effectiveness, process optimization, and operational efficiency.\nPartner with the Accounting Manager and Finance Business Partners to establish standard costs, labor and overhead rates, and other costing methodologies while evaluating the impact on product costs.\nOversee inventory accounting activities, including physical inventory and cycle count audits, variance analysis, inventory valuation, material classifications, and purchasing rate calculations.\nProvide guidance and resolve complex cost accounting issues, including margin analysis, project reviews, customer quotation support, productivity analysis, efficiency metrics, and capacity utilization assessments.\nInvestigate root causes of cost model and financial reporting issues and recommend process improvements and policy enhancements.\nParticipate in Project Status Reviews to identify and validate project costs for revenue recognition under both Percentage-of-Completion (POC) and Point-in-Time accounting methods.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives, financial analysis, and special projects.\nPerform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.\nQualifications & Experience\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.\n5 to 7 years of progressive experience in cost accounting, manufacturing finance, or related disciplines.\nPrior experience leading or supervising accounting teams preferred.\nStrong knowledge of cost accounting principles, inventory accounting, standard costing, and financial analysis.\nExperience with Percentage-of-Completion (POC) accounting is preferred.\nBackground in a project-based manufacturing or engineering environment preferred.\nExcellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to issue resolution.\nDemonstrated ability to assess business challenges and recommend effective financial solutions.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively present financial information to diverse stakeholders.\nExperience working within decentralized, matrixed organizations.\nProficiency with ERP and financial systems such as SAP,
