Working closely with engineering, operations, maintenance, and test teams, you will ensure electrical systems operate safely, reliably, and in compliance with technical specifications and quality standards.\nThis role provides the opportunity to work with a variety of electrical and instrumentation technologies, including PLCs, VFDs, sensors, transformers, protection systems, and medium-voltage equipment. Your technical expertise and problem-solving skills will directly contribute to product performance, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, repair, and commissioning activities on industrial electrical systems and equipment.\nInstall, configure, calibrate, and troubleshoot instrumentation associated with pumps and rotating equipment, including temperature sensors, vibration monitoring systems, and data acquisition systems.\nWork with instrumentation signals and control circuits, including milliamp (mA), millivolt (mV), voltage (V), and current (A) applications.\nSupport the setup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and operation of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).\nPerform maintenance, switching operations, testing, repair, and commissioning of transformers, switchgear, power circuit breakers, protective relays, metering circuits, motor control systems, cables, and other electrical distribution equipment.\nInstall, modify, and replace electrical wiring, circuits, and control systems in accordance with electrical codes, engineering drawings, and company procedures.\nDiagnose and resolve issues involving electrical circuits, instrumentation, and motor control systems to support safe and reliable operations.\nComplete maintenance records, inspection reports, work orders, deficiency reports, and other documentation accurately and in a timely manner while supporting departmental and customer requirements.\nPartner with assembly, maintenance, engineering, and testing teams to provide electrical and instrumentation support across operations.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining compliance with all safety, quality, and operational procedures.\nRequired Qualifications\nHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalent, with 5-7 years of relevant industrial electrical experience.\nCompletion of a formal electrical apprenticeship program and a valid electrician certification or license.\nDemonstrated journey-level electrical knowledge and experience in industrial environments, including proficiency with electrical trade tools, equipment, and testing instruments.\nExperience troubleshooting electrical systems, motor control circuits, instrumentation, PLCs, and VFDs.\nAbility to read, interpret, and work from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical documentation.\nStrong organizational, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with excellent attention to detail.\nEffective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple functions.\nAbility to safely lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical activities including standing, kneeling, bending, climbing ladders or scaffolding, and pulling wire and cable through conduit.\nAbility to distinguish color-coded wiring and electrical components.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience working with pumps, rotating equipment, and industrial testing environments.\nExperience commissioning electrical and instrumentation systems in manufacturing, repair, or service facilities.\nKnowledge of industrial automation systems, process controls, and data acquisition systems.\nExperience with vibration monitoring systems, condition monitoring equipment, and instrumentation calibration.\nMedium-voltage electrical experience up to 18kV.\nFamiliarity with preventative maintenance programs, root cause analysis, and reliability-centered maintenance practices.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications and computerized maintenance or work order systems.\nDemonstrated commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nWhat We Can Offer You\nAt Flowserve, you'll find a range of options to fit your, and your family's, needs.
