This role plays a critical part in ensuring product quality, maintaining production schedules, and supporting operational excellence through safe and efficient machining practices. The successful candidate will utilize machining expertise, blueprint interpretation, and precision measurement skills to produce high-quality components while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.\nKey Responsibilities\nSet up and operate machine tools and manufacturing equipment to produce precision parts and components.\nPerform machining operations following established manufacturing processes, work instructions, and quality requirements.\nRead and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) requirements.\nUtilize precision measuring instruments including micrometers, dial indicators, depth gauges, calipers, and other inspection equipment.\nVerify dimensional accuracy and ensure product conformance throughout the machining process.\nPerform machine setups, tooling adjustments, and process verification activities.\nSupport equipment maintenance and repair activities through inspection, troubleshooting, and operational support.\nFollow all safety, environmental, and operational procedures to maintain a safe workplace.\nEnsure compliance with quality standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.\nCommunicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and manufacturing support personnel.\nMaintain accurate production records, inspection results, and process documentation.\nSupport continuous improvement efforts focused on safety, quality, productivity, and operational performance.\nRequired Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED equivalent.\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.\nExperience using precision measuring equipment and inspection tools.\nKnowledge of machining principles, tooling, cutting parameters, and manufacturing processes.\nAbility to interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) requirements.\nStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work independently while supporting team production objectives.\nEffective verbal communication and interpersonal skills.\nCommitment to workplace safety, quality, and continuous improvement.\nAbility to follow established procedures, policies, and work instructions.\nPreferred Qualifications\nTwo or more years of machining experience in a manufacturing or repair environment.\nExperience operating manual lathes and milling machines.\nExperience operating CNC lathes, CNC mills, and other machining equipment.\nExperience performing machine setups, tooling changes, and process adjustments.\nStrong blueprint reading and dimensional inspection skills.\nExperience utilizing micrometers, dial indicators, depth gauges, calipers, and related precision instruments.\nAbility to plan, organize, and prioritize work activities to meet production objectives.\nKnowledge of manufacturing quality systems and inspection procedures.\nStrong troubleshooting and root-cause problem-solving abilities.\nExperience working within a precision manufacturing environment.\nWhat We Can Offer You\nAt Flowserve, you'll find a range of options to fit your, and your family's, needs.
