You will partner with production, quality, engineering, and supply chain teams to improve safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery.\nThis role supports manufacturing operations by developing practical solutions for the shop floor, including work instructions, tooling, fixtures, process layouts, and production routings. Your work will help ensure manufacturing processes meet customer, engineering, and quality requirements.\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop and implement manufacturing process improvements that support safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals.\nCreate and maintain shop-floor work instructions, manufacturing routings, test instructions, checklists, and supporting documentation.\nReview customer requirements, inspection and test plans, and engineering documentation to ensure manufacturing processes meet applicable requirements.\nInvestigate and disposition nonconformance reports in collaboration with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams.\nDesign tooling, fixtures, and intermediate manufacturing drawings that support machining, assembly, welding, testing, and material handling activities.\nSupport hydrostatic testing and pump or rotating-element performance testing by coordinating required materials, tooling, and process documentation.\nEvaluate production flow, layouts, throughput, and process performance to identify and implement improvements.\nMonitor key performance indicators, including on-time delivery, utilization, efficiency, and quality metrics, and support corrective actions when needed.\nEnsure tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing processes meet applicable safety requirements and OSHA regulations.\nPartner with engineers, supervisors, and production teams to resolve shop-floor issues and improve manufacturing readiness.\nSupport continuous-improvement activities that reduce errors, standardize work, and improve operational performance.\nRequired Qualifications\nEngineering degree or technologist diploma from an accredited college or university.\nExperience in a manufacturing, production, assembly, testing, machining, or similar industrial environment.\nExperience using 3D modeling or design software, such as SolidWorks, Creo Parametric, AutoCAD, or similar tools.\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, safety rules, operating instructions, and technical procedures.\nKnowledge of manufacturing processes, production flow, layouts, throughput, assembly, and testing.\nExperience using SAP, ERP, or a similar manufacturing planning system.\nAbility to communicate clearly and work effectively with production, quality, engineering, and leadership teams.\nU.S. citizenship is required.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting nuclear pump manufacturing or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.\nFamiliarity with ANSI N45.2, 10 CFR Part 50 Appendix B, NQA-1, or similar quality program requirements.\nExperience using product lifecycle management systems, including Windchill, Nexus, or similar platforms.\nExperience with rotating equipment, pumping systems, hydrostatic testing, or performance testing.\nExperience interpreting engineering drawings and using inspection tools such as micrometers, indicators, bore gauges, optical comparators, and profilometers.\nLean, Six Sigma, or continuous-improvement certification or practical experience.\nExperience designing fixtures, tooling, or production support equipment for machining, welding, assembly, or testing.\nWhat We Can Offer You\nAt Flowserve, you’ll find a range of options to fit your and your family’s needs.
