This role is responsible for managing the execution of customer orders from job release through shipment while ensuring production schedules remain on track, materials and services are available when needed, and delivery commitments are achieved.\nThe successful candidate will play a highly visible role across the organization, driving collaboration, resolving production risks, and supporting operational excellence.\nKey Responsibilities\nProduction Scheduling & Order Execution\nDevelop and maintain production schedules that meet customer delivery commitments.\nReview daily production progress, work center performance, and shift turnover updates.\nCoordinate job releases with Operations, Engineering, Estimating, and Purchasing teams.\nPrioritize emergency orders, expedited requests, and critical customer requirements.\nMonitor schedule adherence and proactively resolve production bottlenecks.\nCreate and manage detailed schedules for complex, high-value, and long-cycle projects.\nEnsure work orders move efficiently through manufacturing and repair processes.\nBalance production capacity, labor availability, and customer priorities to maximize performance.\nCross-Functional Coordination\nServe as the primary link between Sales, Engineering, Operations, Purchasing, Shipping, and Production.\nLead discussions related to schedule risks, capacity constraints, and material shortages.\nCommunicate project status, schedule updates, and delivery commitments to stakeholders.\nCoordinate actions required to recover delayed orders and mitigate schedule disruptions.\nFacilitate alignment between operational priorities and customer expectations.\nEscalate critical issues impacting customer deliveries and project execution.\nMaterial & Vendor Management\nVerify materials, purchase orders, and outside services are available prior to job release.\nWork directly with suppliers and subcontractors to expedite materials and services.\nMonitor vendor performance and supplier delivery commitments.\nEscalate material shortages and supplier delays that may affect production schedules.\nTrack outsourced operations and ensure work is completed according to schedule.\nCoordinate inventory availability with Purchasing and Operations teams.\nShop Floor Engagement\nSpend approximately 30-40% of the workday supporting production activities on the shop floor.\nPartner with machinists, mechanics, assemblers, supervisors, and shop leads to monitor progress.\nIdentify production roadblocks and coordinate real-time solutions.\nVerify job status, priorities, and material availability throughout production.\nSupport inventory accuracy and material verification efforts.\nBuild strong working relationships with frontline operations personnel.\nERP & Reporting\nMaintain production schedules, work orders, and planning reports within SAP.\nTrack order progression from booking through shipment and customer delivery.\nSupport Bill of Material (BOM) creation, maintenance, and part number management.\nGenerate reports that provide operational visibility and performance metrics.\nMonitor schedule performance and identify trends impacting delivery reliability.\nRequired Qualifications\nMinimum of 6+ years of experience in production scheduling, production planning, manufacturing planning, or production control.\nExperience coordinating multiple customer orders simultaneously in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nStrong ERP system experience, preferably SAP.\nExperience working directly with production personnel and shop-floor operations.\nAbility to manage competing priorities while maintaining customer commitments.\nExcellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.\nAbility to analyze production schedules, capacity constraints, and operational risks.\nExperience collaborating across manufacturing, engineering, purchasing, and operations functions.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience within pumps, rotating equipment, industrial repair, or flow control manufacturing environments.\nKnowledge of machining, welding, assembly, repair, or industrial manufacturing processes.\nExperience supporting Quick Response Centers (QRCs), engineered products, or custom manufacturing operations.\nWhat We Can Offer You\nAt Flowserve, you'll find a range of options to fit your, and your family's, needs.
