This role is critical to maintaining customer confidence, supporting nuclear and industrial quality requirements, and ensuring products meet applicable codes, standards, and specifications.\nYou will drive operational excellence by developing your team, improving inspection processes, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and fostering a strong culture of safety, quality, and accountability across the facility.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead and develop NDE personnel to ensure inspections, examinations, and testing activities are performed safely, accurately, and in compliance with applicable procedures and standards.\nOversee nondestructive examination activities including Visual Testing (VT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), and Radiographic Testing (RT).\nVerify product and material conformity through inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products against engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.\nManage calibration programs, inspection equipment, gauges, and test instruments to ensure compliance, traceability, and operational readiness.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, cost reduction, and inspection process effectiveness.\nSupport nonconformance management, corrective actions, root cause investigations, and quality improvement activities across manufacturing operations.\nCoordinate customer, supplier, and third-party inspection activities while ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and certification requirements.\nPromote a strong safety and quality culture by supporting Daily Management, problem-solving initiatives, Nuclear Safety Culture principles, and employee development.\nRequired Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED.\n5-7 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, inspection, manufacturing, calibration, nondestructive examination, or a related technical field.\nPrevious experience leading or directing inspection, quality, or technical personnel in a manufacturing environment.\nStrong understanding of inspection methods, precision measurement tools, calibration systems, and quality documentation requirements.\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, inspection plans, procedures, and applicable industry standards.\nExperience working with ASME, ASTM, ISO, customer specifications, and quality management systems.\nStrong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications and computerized quality or inspection systems.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with one or more NDE methods including VT, PT, MT, UT, and RT.\nAmerican Welding Society Certified Welding Inspector (AWS CWI) certification.\nRadiation Safety Officer experience and/or radiography certifications such as IRRSP.\nExperience supporting nuclear, engineered-to-order, or highly regulated manufacturing environments.\nKnowledge of Positive Material Identification (PMI), spectrometer analysis, and material verification processes.\nExperience managing calibration systems, gauge control programs, supplier quality, and audit activities.\nTraining or certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Daily Management, A3 Problem Solving, or Operational Excellence methodologies.\nDemonstrated success leading continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional teams.\nWhat We Can Offer You\nAt Flowserve, you'll find a range of options to fit your and your family's needs.
