Ensuring that pumps supplied for nuclear projects meet all applicable quality, regulatory, customer, and project requirements. The role supports inspection, documentation, verification, traceability, and nonconformance control throughout the project lifecycle, from order entry through final shipment.\nThe position requires close coordination with Engineering, Quality Assurance, Procurement, Manufacturing, Project Management, and Customers to ensure compliance with contractual and technical requirements throughout the project lifecycle.\nKey Responsibilities\nReview contract, customer, code, and project quality requirements for nuclear pump orders.\n\nDevelop inspection and test plans (ITPs) for nuclear projects for pumps.\n\nInterpret customer quality requirements and ensure they are fully incorporated into ITPs, quality plans, and inspection documentation.\n\nSupport receiving inspection, in-process, final, and witness inspections as required.\n\nVerify material traceability, certification, and product identification.\n\nReview and approve quality records, MDRs / data books, and turnover packages.\n\nEnsure compliance with applicable nuclear quality standards and project specifications and maintain necessary documents as per ITP.\n\nInterface with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, customers, and third-party inspectors.\n\nManage nonconformance reports, corrective actions, and concession / deviation processes.\n\nSupport vendor surveillance and sub-supplier quality control activities.\n\nConfirm calibration status of gauges, tools, and test equipment used on the project.\n\nMonitor weld, machining, assembly, testing, and preservation activities where applicable.\n\nEnsure documentation is complete, accurate, and ready for customer / regulatory review.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.\n\n3-7 years of experience in Quality, Inspection, or ITP preparation, preferably in pump manufacturing or rotating equipment industry.\n\nExperience in ASME Sec III is preferred.\n\nRequired Skills & Experience\nStrong knowledge of API 610 pumps, pump components, and auxiliary systems.\n\nStrong knowledge of ASME Sec III.\n\nGood understanding of inspection and testing requirements for castings, forgings, machined parts, fabricated parts, and assembled pumps.\n\nExperience in preparation of ITPs, quality plans, inspection procedures.\n\nExperience in inspection, handling customer witness and customer audits.\n\nKnowledge of customer specifications, project quality requirements, and document review processes.\n\nFamiliarity with material certification requirements such as EN 10204 3.1 & 3.2\n\nKnowledge of NDE methods such as VT, PT, MT, UT, and RT.\n\nGood understanding of welding, heat treatment, hydro testing, performance testing, and final inspection requirements.\n\nWorking knowledge of applicable codes and standards such as API 610, ASME Sections V, VIII, IX, ASTM, and other relevant international standards.\n\nExposure to supplier quality requirements and procurement quality flow-down.\n\nAbility to identify gaps between customer requirements and internal/project documentation.\n\nProficiency in root cause analysis, CAPA, and quality improvement methods.\n\nGood knowledge of Microsoft Office tools for documentation and reporting.\n\nStrong communication, coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExposure to ISO 9001 quality management systems.\n\nExposure to ISO19443 or ASME NQA-1 or QSC is added advantage.\n\nExperience in handling customer inspections and third-party inspections.\n\nKnowledge of ERP or project documentation systems used in manufacturing.
