This role works closely with Team Leaders, Production Supervisors, Quality Assurance, and Engineering to execute work in accordance with work instructions, routers, drawings, and checklists.\nThe Precision Assembler independently selects and utilizes inspection equipment to verify dimensions of critical components during disassembly, repair, and assembly processes. The role is responsible for documenting the wear and condition of components, ensuring all forms and documentation are completed accurately, and preparing and painting equipment when required prior to shipment.\nResponsibilities & Requirements\nFollow all routers, procedures, and Flowserve best practices.\nIndependently inspect, repair, and assemble components and equipment while accurately completing all required documentation.\nInterface with Production Supervisors, Production Planners, Engineering, and Quality Inspectors to review and communicate the condition of critical components.\nInspect components for critical fits and runouts and document findings using the appropriate inspection forms.\nSafely and effectively utilize a variety of common hand tools and power tools.\nUtilize torches, dry ice, liquid nitrogen, and other heat sources safely and properly during assembly and disassembly processes.\nOperate balancing equipment to accurately balance rotating components and assemblies.\nConduct hydrostatic pressure testing when required.\nSet up and accurately read precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, and gauges.\nWork efficiently within established manufacturing process timelines.\nCommunicate job-related issues and concerns clearly to peers and supervisors.\nPaint, tag, prepare, and package equipment for customer shipment as required.\nSafely utilize cranes, lifting devices, and forklifts.\nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives, including providing feedback on process enhancements and development of new tools and hardware.\nPromote a safe work environment while utilizing Stop Work Authority when appropriate.\nUnderstand and follow work instructions, safety procedures, and company policies.\nComply with all Flowserve policies and procedures.\nRead and interpret engineering prints, shop drawings, assembly checklists, and written work instructions.\nUtilize basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office.\nPrioritize and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nMaintain strong attention to detail and a process-driven, results-oriented approach.\nPerform work requiring prolonged standing and lift up to 25 pounds while utilizing a full range of hand and upper-body motion.\nWork overtime, weekends, and holidays as business demands require.\nTravel to secondary repair facilities as needed, approximately 25% annually.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nPreferred Experience / Skills\nHigh School Diploma or GED required.\nMinimum of five (5) years of relevant manufacturing, assembly, or repair experience.\nMinimum of five (5) years of experience working with Nuclear Safety-Related pumps preferred.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications and general computer systems.\nExcellent organizational, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.\nDemonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.\nStrong commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.\nDemonstrated desire for personal growth and career development.","description_format":"text","description_chars":3746,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":5,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"high_school","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Manufacturing","Energy Efficiency","Industrial Machinery"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-28T14:33:24Z"}],"liveness":{"score":56,"band":"ok","label":"Likely open","p_open":1,"p_active":0.628,"p_room":0.9,"age_days":13,"expected_fill_days":31,"reasons":["conf:6","stale_co","wave","win:mid","comp:brand"],"computed_at":"2026-09-29T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/flowserve-precision-assembler-2","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/flowserve-precision-assembler-2.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-09-30T02:54:33Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":2165,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":2835,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-10-01T00:00:00Z"}}}
