You will work with modern tools, precision measuring equipment, and detailed technical documentation to ensure each assembly meets required specifications. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on mechanical work, takes pride in accuracy, and contributes to a safe, collaborative production environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nAssemble equipment and components according to drawings, work orders, procedures, and written instructions.\nPerform required functional tests and verify assemblies meet quality and performance standards.\nDisassemble, clean, inspect, repair, and reassemble equipment as part of the repair process.\nInspect parts and completed assemblies using precision measuring equipment to confirm conformance with specifications.\nUse hand tools, hydraulic torque wrenches, lifting equipment, micrometers, vernier calipers, coordinate measuring machines, and other required tools safely and effectively.\nEnsure all parts and components are clean, properly prepared, and correctly installed before and during assembly.\nTroubleshoot assembly issues and work with team members to resolve quality, fit, or performance concerns.\nFollow safety procedures, wear required personal protective equipment, and comply with company policies and continuous-improvement practices.\nRequired Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED.\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, work instructions, safety rules, and procedure manuals.\nExperience using basic hand tools and precision measuring tools, such as micrometers and vernier calipers.\nAbility to perform basic math, including calculations involving rates, ratios, percentages, and unit conversions.\nAbility to communicate clearly with team members, supervisors, and customers; use basic computer and data-entry systems; and safely lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.\nPreferred Qualifications\nPrevious workshop, manufacturing, mechanical assembly, or repair experience.\nExperience assembling or repairing rotating equipment, mechanical devices, or industrial machinery.\nFamiliarity with coordinate measuring machines and inspection processes.\nKnowledge of automation controls, electrical components, or mechanical troubleshooting.\nVocational training, technical certification, or related mechanical education.\nExperience supporting continuous-improvement initiatives in a manufacturing or repair environment.\nBenefits\nAt Flowserve, you’ll find a range of options designed to support you and your family’s needs.
