The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience engineering automation packages for ball, plug, butterfly, gate, globe, check, and severe-service valves.\nThis role requires technical proficiency in pneumatic, hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, and electric actuation systems, along with the ability to manage projects from customer specification review through engineering, assembly, testing, inspection, dispatch, and site commissioning support\nKey Responsibilities:\nValve Automation Engineering\nEngineer and execute valve automation systems based on schematic drawings and customer requirements.\nDevelop automation solutions for:Ball valves\nPlug valves\nButterfly valves\nGate, globe, and check valves\nSevere-service valves\n\nSelect, size, and integrate:Pneumatic actuators\nHydraulic actuators\nElectro-hydraulic systems\nElectric actuators\nManual gear operators\n\nEnsure appropriate actuator sizing, torque selection, fail-safe configuration, and operational suitability.\nAutomation Package Development\nDesign and develop complete valve automation packages incorporating:Solenoid valves\nLimit switches\nPosition transmitters\nPositioners\nAir filter regulators\nTubing layouts\nControl panels\n\nReview customer specifications, datasheets, P&IDs, and project requirements.\nEnsure package compliance with hazardous-area classifications, SIL requirements, and applicable customer standards.\nPrepare and review automation documentation, including GA drawings, hook-up drawings, pneumatic/hydraulic schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, test procedures, and technical submittals.\nProject Execution & Coordination\nCoordinate end-to-end automation project execution from engineering through dispatch.\nWork closely with Design, Production, QA/QC, Procurement, Assembly, and Testing teams.\nMonitor engineering schedules, technical compliance, material availability, and customer deliverables.\nSupport Factory Acceptance Tests, Site Acceptance Tests, customer inspections, and pre-dispatch activities.\nProvide technical clarifications to customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.\nTesting & Troubleshooting\nSupervise actuator assembly, calibration, functional testing, and final inspection.\nTroubleshoot issues related to:Actuator performance\nAir leakage\nPositioning accuracy\nTorque mismatch\nControl-signal integration\nESD and fail-safe operation\n\nEnsure automation packages meet functional, safety, and performance requirements before dispatch.\nSupport installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting at customer sites when required.\nContinuous Improvement\nDevelop and maintain standardization for automation packages, component selection, and engineering practices.\nIdentify opportunities to improve package reliability, cost, quality, and delivery timelines.\nSupport valve automation upgrades, digitalization initiatives, and advanced control-system solutions.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering/Electrical & Electronics Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Mechatronics Engineering\nMinimum 5 years of relevant experience in industrial valve automation.\nExperience in valve manufacturing, EPC projects, or process-industry automation is highly preferred.\nMandatory Technical Skills\nStrong knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric actuator systems.\nExperience in actuator selection, sizing, assembly, and integration for industrial valves.\nGood understanding of instrumentation and control systems.\nKnowledge of API and IEC standards.\nUnderstanding of SIL concepts and hazardous-area requirements.\nFamiliarity with PLC/DCS integration and industrial communication protocols such as Modbus and Profibus.\nKnowledge of control-valve accessories and automation components.\nAbility to interpret:P&IDs\nInstrument loop diagrams\nElectrical schematics\nPneumatic and hydraulic schematics\nGA drawings\nFabrication drawings\n\nPreferred Industry Experience\nCandidates with experience in the following areas will be highly preferred:\nValve manufacturing industry\nOil & gas EPC projects\nRefinery and petrochemical projects\nLNG terminals\nPipeline valve automation\nPower and process industries\nSevere-service valve applications\nPreferred Product & System Exposure\nExperience with the following will be an added advantage:\nScotch yoke actuators\nRack-and-pinion actuators\nMulti-turn actuators\nQuarter-turn actuators\nMotor Operated Valves\nEmergency
