As a QA NDE Technician, you will help ensure pump components supporting the nuclear industry meet rigorous engineering, customer, and quality requirements. You will perform non-destructive examination and dimensional inspection activities that protect product integrity, maintain traceability, and support the safe, on-time release of controlled materials and components.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with manufacturing, quality, engineering, and plant leadership in a high-accountability environment. Your inspection expertise will directly contribute to Flowserve’s commitment to quality, reliability, and nuclear safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct visual, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, ultrasonic, and radiographic examinations as qualified and assigned.
  • Perform initial, in-process, receiving, and final inspections using calibrated measuring and test equipment.
  • Document inspection results clearly, accurately, and completely to provide objective quality evidence and maintain required quality records.
  • Review engineering drawings, inspection instructions, work orders, and specifications to verify product conformance.
  • Identify, document, and report nonconforming conditions using approved procedures and support corrective action activities.
  • Verify purchased materials and components meet purchase order, engineering, and quality requirements.
  • Maintain material identification, traceability, and status controls throughout receiving, production, and shipment activities.
  • Support timely completion of quality, engineering, and customer documentation required for controlled shipments.
  • Assist with training and qualifying other inspection personnel and provide guidance through consistent work standards and attention to quality.
  • Escalate unclear conditions, quality risks, or requirements outside approved procedures to the Facility Quality Manager.

Required Qualifications

  • Current or previous ASNT Level II certification in one or more non-destructive examination methods, including Visual Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing, Liquid Penetrant Testing, Ultrasonic Testing, or Radiographic Testing, in accordance with SNT-TC-1A.
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, for rotating equipment or precision mechanical components.
  • Experience performing inspections in a manufacturing, repair, or production environment.
  • Experience using calibrated precision measuring and test equipment.
  • Experience processing nonconformances and maintaining product identification and traceability.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current or previous ASNT Level II certifications in Visual Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing, Liquid Penetrant Testing, Ultrasonic Testing, and Radiographic Testing.
  • Experience supporting pump manufacturing or repair, including castings, weld repairs, and fabricated components.
  • Experience performing mechanical dimensional inspections on precision components or assemblies.
  • Knowledge of nuclear quality programs and standards, including ANSI N45.2, 10 CFR Part 50 Appendix B, and NQA-1.
