A Project Engineer reviews and prepares Engineering data, 2D drawings, 3D models, bills of materials, performs engineering studies and related calculations, and coordinates cross-functionally with other Flowserve departments (internal and external) and suppliers to establish schedules for the fulfillment of standard and custom pump and seal orders. Able to analyze and improve quality, cost, and delivery of products by using lean and Six Sigma tools.\nResponsibilities:\nReview and interpretation of customer specifications.\nAssist in material selection to meet customer project requirements.\nTechnical project responsibility including creating complete engineering bills of material and customer/part design drawings.\nMeets project schedule milestones for engineering deliverables.\nInterfaces and supports other department functions by providing technical guidance to procurement, planning, manufacturing, and suppliers to clarify project requirements.\nConducts design reviews to ensure components & assemblies comply with customer specifications and design requirements.\nManages multiple projects involving complex designs, including oversight of support resources and seeking guidance from technical specialists.\nPerforms and reviews engineering calculations and analysis in support of design efforts.\nReviews and approves suppliers’ documentation.\nSupports technical discussions with customers and other key functional areas.\nRequirements:\n BS degree in a relevant field (Mechanical Engineering preferred) and 5-7 years of relevant design engineering experience.\nPossess understanding of manufacturing and fabrication processes.\nExperience with 2D and 3D drafting and modeling.
