The person in this role will need to lead informally and collaborate with associates in Supply Chain, Engineering, Commercial Operations, Project Management and Manufacturing in managing orders and the flow of products from suppliers, through our factory, and delivery to the Customer. As well as being a key stakeholder in the site’s Nuclear QMS and being a Lead Auditor, this person will also facilitate problem solving sessions across all functional areas in the company, in addition to supporting our internal non-conformance disposition processes. The Senior Nuclear Quality Engineer needs to bring strong experience and industry-specific knowledge to support a critical segment of Flowserve’s business.\nPRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:\nSupport quality cultural change in the facility aligned with Flowserve values & behaviors. \nLead Nuclear Quality Management System at the site. \nLead Nuclear audit program (external, supplier, internal). \nPartner with all functional areas to assure Nuclear Quality compliance in the site. \nWork with a proactive approach to assure QMS compliance. \nSupport Customer Experience per Corporate Guidelines. \nFacilitate and coach Problem Solving (RCA/CA/PA) related to Nuclear business for the facility.\nEngage in Nuclear Project specification reviews and ITP development.\nNuclear Project Quality Document oversight.\nSupport Nuclear Customer Complaints /escapes problem solving and be able to present results to customers. \nEnsure Nuclear Approved Vendor List (AVL) is managed properly and partner with Supplier Quality teams to manage suppliers performance. \nProvide site training as required on Nuclear Safety Culture and other Quality topics. \nLead and support any Quality audits. \n REQUIRES THE ABILITY TO:\nMeticulous attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.\nUse project management tools to ensure effective and timely completion of project milestones.\nUse detailed process mapping tools to define and analyze quality management workflows.\nMake data driven decisions\nEmbrace and drive accountability and performance-based culture focused on operational excellence.\nProven ability to lead initiatives and teams in a multi-cultural matrix organization, manage multiple priorities, and drive continuous improvement.\nInteract & guide the other functional areas to evaluate failure trends, product quality problems, and quality issues.\nEvaluate existing quality processes and systems for effectiveness and improvement opportunities.\nSupport quality system deployment plans given multiple system deployments with other functions (ERP, SAP, PLM, SIOP, etc.).\nInteract with nuclear customers and suppliers on quality issues plus resolution of any problems within process and final product acceptance.\nCommunicate effectively in both verbal and written form with a wide variety of customers including both internal and external to Flowserve. Communicate effectively with associates at all levels, from the factory floor to executives at Flowserve and Customers.\nBe able to perform and coach others in data analysis and perform root cause analysis.\nInitiate, formulate and implement new business practices within a specific discipline while managing the development and/or delivery of a significant element of the organization's change management program.\nAdapt approach and demeanor in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations.\nGain the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity, and authenticity.\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nBachelor’s degree in engineering field (manufacturing, nuclear, industrial, or mechanical)\n5 years’ experience of demonstrated success leading or working in a nuclear quality program that meets the requirements of ASME BPVC, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and ASME NQA-1, as well as ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 19443.\nPrevious experience in metal-mechanic industries or similar business.\nKnowledge of ASME BPVC, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and ASME NQA-1.\nSkilled in Team Oriented Problem Solving (RCA/CA/PA tools, able to teach and coach).\nNQA-1 Lead Auditor\nFamiliar with Commercial Grade Dedication and material upgrade requirements.\nSix Sigma Green Belt or equivalent.\nSkilled in process mapping and risk assessment (PFMEA preferably).\nExperience in Quality Software Systems.\nProficient in Microsoft Office\nEnglish bilingual, business conversation.\nUS Citizen\nDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:\n8D Problem Solving or A3
