The overall focus of the role is to manage the complete RFQ/RFP process and to select the most appropriate supplier for the intended scope of work based on Safety, Quality, Delivery & Cost parameters and aligned with the global category strategy.\nSCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY\nExecute the sourcing events on behalf of the Sites/BU’s as defined by the system workflows in a timely manner.\nNegotiate with suppliers to obtain the best value offering for Flowserve with respect to the scope of work and Site/BU needs; balancing Quality, Delivery and Cost. This includes any specific flowdowns or contractual terms relative to a specific scope.\nWhere applicable, finalize contractual agreements such as Price Lists or Teaming Agreements per the specific scope of supply and ensure they are loaded appropriately within the applicable tools/ERPs.\nComply with the sourcing strategy as set forth by the Global Category Management function; including focusing spend on Partner & Preferred suppliers.\nCreate and expedite any new supplier requests / supplier changes as required to support the BU operations through the MDG-Supplier process.\nIdentify any specific supply/supplier risks as it pertains to the managed scope and elevate them through the appropriate process/hierarchy.\nSupport Commercial Operations for any supply chain quotes required to support tender activities.\nOperate in full compliance to all Flowserve Policies & Procedures as applicable to the role.\nMAIN OBJECTIVES\nCost Reduction\nSourcing Guide Compliance\nCommercial Terms Compliance\nPurchase Requisitions Past Due\nHSE Metrics (as set and assigned by local office requirements)\nPREFERED COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS\n3+ years of experience in Supply Chain\n1+ years of sourcing experience\nStrong interpersonal relationship management\nEvidenced understanding of both commercial and technical areas of supply chain\nVery strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills\nProficiency in Project Management\nKnowledge of supply base in the region for the assigned categories\nUnderstanding of market dynamics\nStrong analytical skills which involves collecting, analyzing and interpreting data • Certified Supply Chain Professional\nGeographically mobile for development opportunities\nAbility to influence, communicate, and collaborate at all organizational levels • Expertise with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint\nKnowledge of applicable ERPs and associated tools i.e. SAP and sourcing tools like Ariba\nSound understanding on the sourcing needs of the regional / global
