In this role, you will perform precision TIG welding, assembly, disassembly, and repair activities while working from engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards. You'll collaborate with production, engineering, quality, and project teams to ensure customer equipment is repaired and manufactured safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex rotating equipment while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within a highly specialized environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform TIG welding repairs and fabrication of new and customer-owned pump components in 2G, 3G, and 6G positions.\nExecute assigned work in accordance with routers, drawings, work instructions, checklists, company procedures, and Flowserve best practices.\nAssist with the disassembly, repair, assembly, and testing of pumps, rotating equipment, and related components.\nSet up and utilize precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and gauges to verify dimensional requirements.\nOperate hand tools, power tools, torches, lifting equipment, cranes, forklifts, and other equipment required for manufacturing and assembly activities.\nCoordinate with production supervisors, shop leads, planners, engineers, project managers, and quality personnel to support production schedules and customer requirements.\nComplete required documentation accurately and ensure quality records, forms, and manufacturing documentation are submitted in accordance with established procedures.\nSupport continuous improvement efforts by providing input on process enhancements, tooling improvements, safety initiatives, and operational efficiency opportunities.\nRequired Qualifications\nAbility to independently perform precision TIG welding or demonstrate the capability to obtain required welding qualifications.\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, assembly checklists, technical instructions, and manufacturing documentation.\nExperience using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other inspection gauges.\nBasic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.\nStrong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nAbility to safely lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform work requiring repetitive hand and upper-body movement.\nAbility and willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.\nMust be a U.S. Citizen.\nPreferred Qualifications\nCurrent certification or ability to certify in TIG welding 6G positions in accordance with ASME Section IX requirements.\nPrevious welding certifications or recent graduation from an accredited welding program.\nExperience in pump repair, rotating equipment, manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial service environments.\nExperience working from detailed work instructions, routers, and quality procedures.\nExperience operating cranes, forklifts, and material-handling equipment.\nStrong communication, organization, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.\nDemonstrated commitment to continuous improvement, safety, and quality.\nHigh School Diploma/GED and 3-5 years of relevant welding experience, or recent welding school graduate.\nAdditional Work Environment Requirements\nWillingness to travel approximately 10% or more, as needed, to support activities at a secondary repair facility.\nWillingness to work in a radiologically contaminated environment as required for customer and business needs.
