You will lead Mechanical and Screen Service teams, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard while building strong relationships with our customers.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced trade professional or site supervisor from the mining industry who enjoys leading people, solving problems and driving continuous improvement.\nYour responsibilities\nLead and coordinate planned and unplanned service and maintenance activities across customer sites and workshop operations.\n\nSupervise Mechanical and Screen Service teams, ensuring safe execution, productivity and effective utilisation of resources.\n\nDemonstrate visible safety leadership through Safety Leadership Tours, Toolbox Talks and active participation in safety initiatives.\n\nEnsure compliance with FLS and customer HSE requirements, procedures, standards and applicable legislation.\n\nEnsure incidents and hazards are reported, investigated and followed through with appropriate corrective actions.\n\nPlan and allocate work to Service Technicians, balancing changing priorities, customer requirements and available resources.\n\nWork closely with planning teams to coordinate predictive and preventative maintenance activities, shutdown preparation, labour, parts, tools and equipment.\n\nMonitor daily maintenance activities and ensure work is completed efficiently, safely and to the required quality standards.\n\nReview service documentation, inspection reports and condition-monitoring information before presentation to customers.\n\nPromote a strong “right first time” approach and identify opportunities to improve procedures, maintenance practices and service quality.\n\nCoach, develop and provide constructive feedback to team members, supporting both technical capability and professional development.\n\nBuild an engaged and collaborative team culture based on trust, accountability and teamwork.\n\nMaintain strong customer relationships and provide practical solutions to customer requirements.\n\nEnsure all customer interactions are professional and reinforce FLS's credibility as a trusted service partner.\n\nIdentify customer needs and market intelligence that may create additional value and business opportunities.\n\nWork collaboratively with Engineering and other internal teams to identify equipment trends and develop improved maintenance strategies.\n\nProvide hands-on technical support when required, including supporting other FLS supervisors and teams across customer sites.\n\nWhat you bring\nTrade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or a related mechanical discipline.\n\nPrevious experience supervising a site service or maintenance team within the mining industry.\n\nDemonstrated experience leading tradespeople in field service, maintenance or shutdown environments.\n\nCHPP shutdown experience is highly regarded.\n\nRelevant coal mine inductions and current competencies.\n\nStrong understanding of mining safety requirements and safe work practices.\n\nAbility to plan and coordinate resources across changing operational priorities.\n\nStrong leadership, coaching and team-development capability.\n\nExcellent communication and customer relationship skills.\n\nA practical, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.\n\nCurrent Australian manual driver's licence.\n\nAbility and willingness to travel to customer sites as required.\n\nWhat we value\nAt FLS, safety is at the centre of everything we do.
