This includes ensuring that financial reporting is completed on time and in high quality, performing financial analysis, assisting in the budget and estimate process, overseeing the internal and external activities of record keeping and reporting to management and Group Finance.\nThe Controller will be reporting to Head of Centre Of Expertise - Reporting & Controlling, Chennai, India, company’s headquarter in Copenhagen.\nJob scope:\nTake responsibility for the financial reporting for a number of entities in cooperation with colleagues in Global Business Support\nBalance Sheet, P&L Reviews, Variance Analysis\nDo numbers make sense\nOversee the month-end close process by reviewing business results and provides relevant analysis\nEnsure the quality and timely completion of monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting using OneStream and validation of the quality of the underlying data prepared by Global Business Support\nDrive Group/Stat Audit for schedule preparation, review, no delays etc\nCoordinate and provide accounting advices to Sub Processes - AP, AR, GL, PA\nSupport business finance in analysing performance.\nProvide ad hoc analytical support as required, to include preparation of financial models to support business cases.\nShare responsibility with local teams in leading annual external audits for their respective entities.\nAdminister and ensures compliance of corporate policies, IFRS and local statutory requirements.\nActively participate in rolling out new ERP systems in the entities.\nPartner with GBS to address periodic issues and work to improve operational procedures.\nAccounting staff will have dotted line reporting to Financial Controller.\nEnsure department focus on continuous improvement.\nFirst time Right mindset\nDecision maker\nChallenging Status-Co\nProblem Solving skills\nWhat you bring\nChartered Accountancy or equivalent education\nMinimum of 7 years’ experience as a Controller.\nSolid knowledge of reporting standards and ERP systems\nSelf-starter comfortable working in a dynamic environment with evolving roles and responsibilities.\nAdvanced Excel knowledge.\nAttention to detail, problem-solving and strong organization skills.\nExcellent written, oral and communication skills.\nAbility to work in a collaborative decision-making environment.\nOracle / Hyperion/One Stream/D365 experience a plus\nAs an equal opportunity employer, FLSmidth embraces diversity and equality by promoting an environment of inclusion.
