By joining this team, you will have the chance to work in a multinational organization and in an environment involving different cultures and different challenges.\nYour responsibilities\nAssemble and build equipment according to engineering drawings, manufacturing specifications, quality control plans (QCPs), and internal standards. \nInterpret and extract assembly requirements from technical drawings, standards, manuals, and work instructions. \nPerform fitting, assembly, refurbishment, repair, and replacement of equipment components and assemblies. \nConduct disassembly, cleaning, inspection, stacking, storage, and preparation of assemblies and components for refurbishment or repair. \nAssist the Foreman in assessing equipment condition and determining refurbishment requirements. \nOperate a variety of hand tools, power tools, lifting equipment, and workshop machinery safely and effectively. \nPerform basic lifting, rigging, and material handling activities in accordance with company procedures and safety standards. \nConduct routine inspections of assemblies and components to verify compliance with engineering and quality specifications. \nComplete all required production, quality, maintenance, and service documentation accurately and on time. \nMaintain tools, equipment, workshop facilities, and company vehicles in a safe and serviceable condition. \nMaintain a clean, organised, and hazard-free work environment in accordance with company standards and 5S principles. \nSupport modifications, upgrades, and improvements to equipment and assembly processes. \nMeet production schedules and contribute to achieving departmental productivity targets. \nProvide support to other departments and functions as required. \nTravel to customer sites to install, commission, remove, inspect, or support equipment when required. \nWork overtime, standby duties, shift work, shutdowns, and emergency call-outs as operational requirements dictate. \nAdhere to all Health, Safety, Environmental (HSE), and Quality requirements while promoting a safety-first culture. \nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction. \nKey Competencies \nAttention to detail and precision. \nSafety-focused mindset. \nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills. \nEffective communication and teamwork. \nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision. \nAccountability and ownership of work outputs. \nAbility to perform under pressure and meet production deadlines. \nAdaptability and commitment to continuous learning and improvement. \nWhat you bring\nMechanical Fitter Part I & II (or an equivalent National Craft/Technician Certificate)\nHigher National Diploma (HND) or BTech in Mechanical Engineering (Advantageous)\n2-3 years of post-qualification experience if qualified through a Higher National Diploma (HND)\n5-8+ years of relevant industry experience if qualified through the Part I & II Technical Certificate route.\nCompetency in the use of hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and workshop equipment. \nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly documentation. \nExperience with lifting and rigging practices. \nKnowledge of mechanical assembly, refurbishment, and repair techniques. \nUnderstanding of quality standards and inspection requirements. \nExposure to Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and 5S methodologies would be advantageous. \nWillingness to travel to customer sites and work extended hours when required. \n What we offer\nAs an equal opportunity employer, FLSmidth embraces diversity and equality by promoting an environment of inclusion.
