The role will also support the Plant HR Head in Industrial Relations, statutory compliance, contract labour management and workforce-related activities.\nThe position will serve as an important interface between employees, contract workmen, supervisors and the HR team, ensuring timely resolution of employee queries and delivery of a positive employee experience at the plant\nKey Responsibilities:\nHR Operations & Employee Lifecycle\nManage day-to-day HR operations for plant employees and support end-to-end employee lifecycle activities.\nCoordinate with Payroll and relevant stakeholders on attendance, leave, payroll inputs and employee-related queries.\nSupport preparation of regular HR MIS and plant HR reports.\nEmployee Welfare & Engagement\nAct as a point of contact for employee welfare-related matters and provide timely support to employees.\nUnderstand employee concerns and grievances and escalate matters appropriately to the Plant HR Head.\nCoordinate employee welfare activities, celebrations, recognition initiatives and other plant-level employee engagement programmes.\nMaintain a positive and employee-friendly work environment while ensuring alignment with business requirements.\nSupport awareness programmes relating to employee welfare, safety and wellbeing.\nEmployee Relations & Industrial Relations Support\nMaintain regular interaction with employees and shop-floor teams to understand workplace concerns.\nSupport disciplinary and employee-relations processes, documentation and follow-up as directed by the Plant HR Head.\nStatutory Compliance & Regulatory Coordination\nSupport the Plant HR Head in ensuring compliance with applicable labour laws, employment regulations and factory-related requirements.\nMaintain required HR, employee welfare and statutory records and registers.\nSupport preparation of documents and information required for statutory inspections, audits and reviews.\nCoordinate with relevant internal teams and external agencies for compliance-related activities.\nAssist in ensuring timely renewal, documentation and maintenance of relevant licences, registrations and records.\nSupport liaison and coordination with statutory authorities and external agencies whenever required.\nContract Labour Management\nSupport the Plant HR Head in the administration and monitoring of contract labour.\nCoordinate with contractors regarding attendance, manpower deployment and employee documentation.\nSupport monitoring of statutory compliance by contractors, including PF, ESI, wages, bonus and other applicable requirements.\nRecruitment & Workforce Support\nSupport hiring of shopfloor, blue-collar and other plant positions based on manpower requirements.\nCoordinate with recruitment consultants, local sourcing channels, ITIs, skill centres and other sources as required.\nAssist in screening, interview coordination, selection documentation and joining formalities.\nCoordinate pre-employment documentation and Background Verification (BGV) processes for Pan India locations.\nBackground Verification & Employee Documentation\nLiaise with BGV agencies and internal stakeholders to ensure timely completion of verification.\nTrack pending cases, follow up on exceptions and maintain appropriate records.\nEnsure employee documentation is complete, accurate and appropriately maintained.\nEmployee Benefits & Insurance Administration\nSupport Corporate People Experience team in administration of Group Medical Insurance, Group Personal Accident Insurance, Life Insurance and other applicable employee benefit programmes.\nCoordinate employee enrolment, additions, deletions and corrections under applicable benefit schemes.\nSupport employees with insurance claims and coordinate with brokers, TPAs and service providers for resolution of queries and escalations.\nSupport annual renewal and related employee communication activities.\nHR MIS, Employee Communication & Audit Support\nPrepare and maintain regular HR MIS relating to headcount, attendance, attrition, recruitment, employee movements, welfare activities and other plant HR metrics.\nConduct or coordinate employee communication sessions and awareness programmes.\nSupport internal and external HR audits and provide required documentation.\nMaintain appropriate records of vendor activities, audits and corrective actions.\nOther Responsibilities\nUndertake any other HR, employee welfare or plant-related responsibilities assigned by the reporting manager.\nThe incumbent will be the designated Welfare Officer for the Arakkonam plant and will discharge the responsibilities of the Welfare Officer as applicable to the plant.\nPreferred Experience & Qualifications\nMLM / MSW in Human Resources or a related discipline.\n4-7 years of experience in HR, preferably in a manufacturing, industrial or plant environment.\nFreshers with relevant academic qualifications and strong interest in Plant HR / Employee Relations may also be considered.\nExposure to labour laws, Industrial Relations or employee welfare will be an advantage.\nStrong interest in working closely with shop-floor employees and the plant workforce.\nStrong interpersonal, follow-up and coordination skills.\nComfortable working with MS Excel, PowerPoint and HR systems.\nKnowledge of HRMS platforms such as Workday, SAP, Oracle,
