The Procurement Manager will work closely with the Plant Head and production team.\nYour responsibilities\nYou will be part of the Manufacturing procurement Team, who ensures purchasing the right goods in right time from the right vendors with the full obligation of the local and country's law, policies and abiding the best practices with terms and conditions,, saves money by actively working to improve cost reduction activities, and reduces the risks associated with delays in the supply chain and dedicated to implementing sustainable solutions for our customers.\nTeam Development & Succession Planning\nPlan and execute the training of team members/resources to achieve the departmental objectives and people development\nDevelop team to build the organization and succession planning for every critical role\nLead and direct the Purchasing employees, coach and develop the team, prioritize activities and review performance.\nDirect and coordinate activities of personnel engaged in the procurement of parts and material.\nAssign procurement requests to the appropriate personnel.\nOversee all activities related to procurement of a commodity, from intent to purchase through delivery of commodity.\nManage Procurement Department budget.\nDevelop sourcing strategies and objectives to meet business and organizational goals.\nAggressively develop and implement cost reduction strategies.\nResponsible for overall supplier performance related to quality, cost and delivery.\nResolve supplier problems.\nAct as liaison between Engineering, Quality and Suppliers.\nDevelop and implement purchasing, expediting and logistics systems and procedures.\nDevelop and implement project tracking report focused on new product sourcing, delivery performance and analysis.\nOrganize, supervise, and direct the work of storeroom and central supply personnel engaged in receiving, issuing, and delivering supplies and equipment.\nAnalyze market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability and prepares market analysis reports.\nDevelop a system to evaluate vendor quotations that utilizes appropriate negotiation and purchasing techniques to ensure quality, price, delivery, and service.\nPrepare and issues purchase orders and change notices.\nPrepare and review contracts, bids, proposals, and vendor agreements for legal correctness, price, and acceptability of items to specifications.\nOther duties as assigned.\nExamine and analyze departmental Purchase Requisitions for completeness and accuracy of information.\nUnderstanding Engineering Drawings & Technical Specifications\nSending inquires to Global Vendors and follow-up to receive offers on time.\nValidating Supplier quotes in line with Purchase Requisition/Requirement\nCommercial and Technical knowledge in Vendor offer evaluations.\nEffective Negotiation, Finalization and cost optimization.\nVendor selection and order placement through Oracle/Dynamics 365.\nExpedite and get order acknowledgement & goods on time from vendors.\nEffective planning and execution of the customer order within budget cost and within Customer P.O. delivery date. \nEffective handling of customer complaints if any, after dispatch/Installation.\nMeet Team and Individual Key Performance Indicators (KPI)\nWhat you bring\nMinimum 8 plus years of relevant experience as a Purchaser / buyer \nKnowledge of Purchasing practices and procedures.\nShould have Good Oral and written communication skills in English.\nSkill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.\nGood planning and organizing skills.\nKnowledge of Mining plant Equipment & Spare Parts.\nKnowledge in MS-Excel/ Word, Outlook proficiency is essential.\nKnowledge in ERP / Oracle / Atlas system will be an added advantage.\nKnowledge in Share point / Power BI will be an added advantage.\nKnowledge in electrical items will be an added advantage.\nWhat we offer\nCompetitive remuneration package & access to salary packaging options to allow you to maximize your after-tax income. \nCompetitive benefits package including Health Insurance, Personal Accident / Disability, Group Term Life Insurance, Annual health check-up, and voluntary insurance options.\nWork-life balance with a flexible work schedule so you can focus on professional and personal priorities.\nTime to recharge through 30 days PTO (with up to 10 days carry forward as Earned Leave stock)\nEmployee Assistance program for you and your immediate family \nA global network of supportive colleagues and growth opportunities\nContinuous development and training in your area of expertise within a global Organization\nAs an equal-opportunity employer, FLSmidth embraces diversity and equality by promoting an environment of inclusion.
