By joining this team, you will have the chance to work in an international environment involving different cultures and different challenges.\nPurpose of the role\nThe purchasing is responsible for acquiring goods and services essential for operations, ensuring the right products are obtained in the correct quantity, quality, time, and price. It serves as a vital link between suppliers and internal operations, managing supplier relationships, controlling costs, and maintaining optimal inventory levels.\nReports Solid line to respective Manager Purchasing.\nManages Purchasing based on specifications and according to predefined procedures and processes to ensure delivery capability.\nHandles operational relations and interfaces with selected suppliers in order to build and maintain close relationships with suppliers.\nYour responsibilities\nResponsibilities and duties includes:\nRequest for quote to supplier.\n\nCost analysis & Preparation of bid evaluation sheet.\n\nCreation & release of purchase order.\n\nReq/PO reconciliation.\n\nEnsure receipt of order acknowledgement from supplier.\n\nReview changes in engineering release and amend PO and inform appropriately.\n\nPreparation of cost tracking report.\n\nUpdating of PO Status, forecast delivery.\n\nReview of Manufacturing schedule & Progress review with suppliers.\n\nInterfacing supplier with engineering, Quality control & Logistics.\n\nBuild & Maintain supplier relationship.\n\nCollaboration with stake holders and draw risk mitigation plan in case of any Potential delay\n\nWhat you bring\nA relevant bachelor’s level qualification, ideally a mechanical engineering degree.\n\nAt least 3 years’ experience in Purchasing, Manufacturing, Production platform.\n\nDemonstrated ability to develop strong relationships and credibility both internally and with external stakeholders with strong customer service skills.\n\nDemonstrated knowledge of handling suppliers and how to improve them in terms of faster delivery, Quality standards. (Improving SIFOT, DIFOT).\n\nAbility to work in a team or individually on multiple concurrent projects.\n\nExperience using standard MS Office suite of programs is required.\n\nDemonstrated ability to deliver in a fast-paced, changing environment while maintaining high attention to detail.\n\nExcellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills in order to work with External, Internal stakeholders.\n\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\nGood organization, multitasking and time management skills that deliver effective planning and housekeeping standards.\n\nExperience in dealing with Global supplier & international counterparts will be added advantages\n\nKnowledge of any foreign language will be added advantage.\n\nWorks towards building and maintaining good relationships with suppliers.\n\nHands-on experience with ERP-systems-Oracle, SAP, D365.\n\nExposure in commercial and financial understanding - desirable\n\nGood knowledge of P2P - Procure to Pay process flow - desirable.\n\nWhat we offer\nAs an equal opportunity provider, FLSmidth promotes diversity in the workplace.
