For more information, please visit fluenceenergy.com.\nJob Description:\nMechanical Engineer - Fluence\nFluence is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer capable of tackling complex technical challenges and delivering high-quality mechanical design solutions. The ideal candidate will have a broad mechanical engineering background with strong proficiency in PTC Creo (3D CAD), sheet metal design, and AutoCAD, along with hands-on experience in electrical panel design and container/enclosure design.\nKey Qualifications\nThe preferred candidate will have:\nA background in Mechanical Engineering and product development within the power conversion and/or renewable energy sector, specifically in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).\nA minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.\nRelevant industry experience.\nStrong experience in site issue resolution, leading root cause analysis (RCA), and providing solutions to commissioning teams for project-specific issues.\nPrimary Responsibilities\nParticipate in project site root cause analysis activities, interface directly with customers, and resolve issues raised during installation and commissioning.\nCreate, review, and update detailed 3D Creo models and AutoCAD 2025 with high proficiency.\nProvide design engineering support for mechanical components, enclosures, and electrical panels.\nManage and support NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and Change Management processes.\nDemonstrate initiative, independence, and sound engineering judgment while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.\nCommunicate clearly and effectively-both written and verbal-with internal teams and external stakeholders.\nDrive solutions on challenging projects, demonstrating ownership, creativity, and innovation.\nUse MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other standard tools efficiently.\nWork flexibly across multiple time zones as needed.\nMandatory: Work from office 4 days per week, with 1 day remote.\nPreferred (Not Mandatory) Additional Qualifications\nExperience in mechanical design of electrical power equipment, such as electrical panels, control panels, or power converters.\nExperience in air and liquid cooling system design:\nExperience with seismic analysis, with familiarity in IEEE 693 and/or ASCE 7-16 requirements.\nExperience with utility-scale battery energy storage systems.\nPrior knowledge or experience with Fluence product offerings.\nAbility to work in alignment with Fluence values: Leading, Agile, Responsible, and Fun.\nOur Culture\nAt Fluence, our culture is the foundation that drives our ambitious growth strategy and fuels our mission to transform the future of energy.
