For more information, please visit fluenceenergy.com.\nJob Description:\nJob Description\nThe Project Engineer is responsible for coordinating and managing engineering activities for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and power infrastructure projects across the EMEA region. The role ensures that engineering deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with project requirements, quality standards, and contractual obligations. The Project Engineer acts as the key technical interface between internal teams, external engineering partners, subcontractors, suppliers, and customers throughout project execution.\nKey Responsibilities\nManage external engineering firms, subcontractors, and internal engineering disciplines, including civil, electrical, network, and permitting teams, to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.\nEnsure engineering deliverables comply with contractual requirements, project specifications, constructability standards, and regional design considerations.\nCoordinate and lead internal and external design review meetings throughout the project lifecycle.\nVerify compliance of engineering deliverables with internal quality standards and applicable industry regulations.\nPromote value engineering initiatives and support innovative approaches to improve system design, constructability, and project efficiency.\nSupport procurement activities by developing technical specifications, reviewing vendor documentation, and assessing technical proposals from suppliers and subcontractors.\nReview internal and external engineering designs to ensure alignment with project requirements and contractual commitments.\nTake ownership of assigned projects and provide technical leadership throughout the execution phase.\nManage technical escalations and coordinate resolution of engineering issues impacting project performance.\nSupport project safety initiatives and ensure engineering activities align with company safety objectives.\nIdentify opportunities to improve engineering processes, project execution methods, and cross-functional collaboration.\nTravel as required throughout the EMEA region to support project execution, customer meetings, site activities, and stakeholder engagement.\nQualifications\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.\nAdditional technical certifications or specialized engineering training are beneficial.\nMinimum of 2 years of experience in engineering, project engineering, or project execution within the power, renewable energy, battery storage, or utility sectors.\nExperience designing or supporting utility-scale power systems, photovoltaic plants, battery energy storage systems, or related infrastructure projects.\nKnowledge of engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) project execution.\nFamiliarity with applicable electrical codes, industry standards, and regulations within the EMEA region.\nExperience coordinating multiple stakeholders, contractors, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.\nStrong problem-solving and organizational skills.\nEffective communication and stakeholder management capabilities.\nProfessional proficiency in English and preferably Polish\nCertifications\nCompany-required safety training certifications.\nInternational travel health certifications where required for specific project locations.\nOur Culture\nAt Fluence, our culture is the foundation that drives our ambitious growth strategy and fuels our mission to transform the future of energy.
