For more information, please visit fluenceenergy.com.\nJob Description:\nThe Senior Quality Specialist is responsible for supporting quality assurance activities for the fabrication and integration of battery energy storage enclosures at a contract manufacturer's facility. This role focuses on executing quality control processes, conducting inspections and audits, supporting corrective actions, and ensuring products meet established quality standards. The position works closely with manufacturing, engineering, and supplier teams to drive continuous improvement and maintain compliance with quality requirements.\nKey Responsibilities\nQuality Control & Inspection\nPerform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of fabricated and assembled products.\nVerify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.\nDocument and report non-conformances and quality concerns.\nProcess Monitoring\nSupport implementation and maintenance of quality control plans and inspection procedures.\nMonitor production processes to ensure adherence to established standards.\nCollect and analyze quality data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.\nSupplier & Contract Manufacturer Support\nAssist in monitoring contract manufacturer quality performance.\nParticipate in supplier audits and quality reviews.\nSupport containment, corrective, and preventive actions related to supplier quality issues.\nRoot Cause Analysis & Corrective Actions\nParticipate in investigations of quality defects and manufacturing issues.\nSupport root cause analysis activities and verification of corrective actions.\nTrack corrective action effectiveness and closure.\nDocumentation & Compliance\nMaintain quality records, inspection reports, quality plans, and audit documentation.\nEnsure compliance with company quality standards and applicable regulatory requirements.\nAssist with internal and external audits.\nContinuous Improvement\nSupport Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.\nRecommend process improvements to reduce defects and improve efficiency.\nParticipate in quality improvement projects and Kaizen events.\nCollaboration\nWork closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to resolve quality concerns.\nAssist with engineering change implementation and verification activities.\nCommunicate quality issues and status updates to stakeholders.\nReporting\nPrepare routine quality metrics and inspection reports.\nSupport preparation of quality performance presentations and dashboards.\nQualifications\nEducation\nAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related technical field.\nExperience\n5-7 years of experience in manufacturing quality, supplier quality, or quality assurance.\nExperience in metal fabrication, industrial equipment, battery energy storage, or related manufacturing environments preferred.\nSkills\nStrong attention to detail and inspection skills.\nAbility to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.\nExperience with root cause analysis tools (5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto, etc.).\nProficiency with Microsoft Office and quality reporting tools.\nKnowledge\nUnderstanding of quality management systems and quality control methodologies.\nWorking knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.\nFamiliarity with inspection equipment and measurement tools.\nCommunication\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience working with contract manufacturers.\nCertified Quality Technician (CQT) or similar certification.\nKnowledge of battery energy storage systems or enclosure fabrication.\nExperience with ISO 9001 quality systems.\nLean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Green Belt certification.\nOur Culture\nAt Fluence, our culture is the foundation that drives our ambitious growth strategy and fuels our mission to transform the future of energy.
