For more information, please visit fluenceenergy.com.\nJob Description:\nRole Overview\nThe Senior Supply Planner is responsible for developing and executing supply plans that ensure material availability, supply continuity, and production readiness across the global Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) supply chain. This role serves as a critical link between demand planning, procurement, manufacturing, suppliers, and order fulfillment to balance customer demand, supplier capacity, inventory investment, and operational performance.\nThe ideal candidate will have significant experience managing complex supply chains involving critical BESS components, including battery cells/modules/packs, PCS (Power Conversion Systems), TMS (Thermal Management Systems), enclosures, and other electro-mechanical assemblies. This individual will leverage SAP/ERP systems and advanced planning tools to support scalable, world-class supply planning processes.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupply Planning\nDevelop and maintain short-, mid-, and long-term supply plans to support global customer demand and manufacturing requirements.\nBalance supply availability, production capacity, inventory targets, and supplier constraints to achieve service and financial objectives.\nTranslate demand plans into actionable supply and replenishment strategies.\nDrive end-to-end material readiness to support manufacturing and customer delivery commitments.\nIdentify supply risks and develop mitigation plans to prevent disruptions.\nCapacity & Supply Assurance\nAnalyze supplier capacity and capability to support current and future demand requirements.\nPartner with Procurement and Suppliers to ensure adequate capacity for batteries, PCS, TMS, enclosures, and critical long-lead components.\nDevelop supply scenarios and contingency plans for constrained materials.\nSupport allocation decisions during periods of supply shortages.\nMonitor supplier performance and proactively address risks impacting supply continuity.\nInventory Management\nEstablish and maintain inventory strategies aligned with service level and working capital objectives.\nOptimize safety stock, reorder points, lead times, and planning parameters.\nMonitor excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory and develop corrective action plans.\nDrive inventory health through disciplined planning processes and continuous review.\nCross-Functional Planning\nCollaborate with Demand Planning to align supply plans with the consensus demand forecast.\nPartner with Order Fulfillment and Master Scheduling teams to ensure executable production and delivery plans.\nWork closely with Procurement Operations to manage PO execution and supplier commitments.\nSupport executive S&OP and S&OE processes through supply analysis and recommendations.\nCommunicate supply constraints, risks, and recovery plans to stakeholders.\nERP & Planning System Excellence\nMaintain planning data integrity within SAP and associated planning systems.\nEnsure accuracy of planning parameters, lead times, sourcing information, and material master data.\nDrive compliance with supply planning processes and system governance standards.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, planning effectiveness, and data quality.\nBESS Supply Chain Support\nManage supply planning activities across key BESS commodities and assemblies including:Battery Cells, Modules, and Packs\nPower Conversion Systems (PCS)\nThermal Management Systems (TMS)\nElectrical Components\nEnclosures\nBalance of System (BOS) Materials\n\nSupport new product introductions, supplier transitions, capacity expansions, and localization initiatives.\nCoordinate planning activities across global manufacturing locations and contract manufacturing partners.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field.\nMinimum 8 to 10 years of experience in Supply Planning, Materials Planning, Production Planning, S&OP, or Supply Chain Management.\nMinimum 3 years of experience supporting Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), battery manufacturing, energy storage, power electronics, or related industries.\nExperience managing complex global supply chains involving OEMs and strategic suppliers.\nStrong understanding of MRP, inventory planning, replenishment methodologies, capacity planning, and supply assurance.\nExperience with SAP, SAP S/4HANA, or comparable ERP/MRP systems.\nAdvanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities.\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience managing supply plans for:Battery OEMs\nPCS manufacturers\nThermal Management suppliers\nMetal fabrication and enclosure manufacturing partners\n\nAPICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification.\nExperience supporting contract manufacturing environments.\nAdvanced capabilities in Power BI, Excel, and supply chain analytics.\nExperience working within global, multi-region planning organizations.\nKey Competencies\nSupply Planning & Inventory Optimization\nCapacity Planning & Assurance of Supply\nMRP / ERP Systems Expertise\nSupply Risk Management\nData Analysis & Scenario Modeling\nOur Culture\nAt Fluence, our culture is the foundation that drives our ambitious growth strategy and fuels our mission to transform the future of energy.
