For more information, please visit fluenceenergy.com.\nJob Description:\nThe Senior Project Manager is responsible for the planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery of large-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. This role leads cross-functional teams, manages project schedules, budgets, risks, and stakeholder communications, and serves as the central point of coordination between clients, contractors, suppliers, and Fluence project resources.\nThe ideal candidate has extensive experience managing complex projects within the energy, power, industrial, petrochemical or battery storage sectors. The Senior Project Manager is expected to maintain full project visibility, drive execution, proactively manage risks, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.\nKey Responsibilities\nPlanning & Execution: Lead the planning and execution of large-scale projects, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource management. Monitor project progress against the master schedule and drive resolution of schedule, cost, and execution risks. \nLeadership & Team Management: Manage and coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, procurement, logistics, construction, and commissioning. \nCommunication & Stakeholder Management Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, contractors, and internal teams. \nMonitoring & Reporting: Track project performance, prepare status updates, and maintain visibility of key deliverables and action items. \nRisk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, manage escalations, and support issue and claims resolution. \nDocumentation & Compliance Ensure project documentation, reporting, and compliance requirements are maintained. \nTravel Requirements Travel approximately 15% or as required for project site visits, client meetings and team meetings. \nRequired Qualifications\nBS/BA degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline. \nMinimum 10+ years of experience managing large-scale industrial, power, energy, renewable energy, or BESS projects. \nProven experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating multiple stakeholders. \nExperience managing projects with contract values of approximately $100M+. \nStrong leadership, collaboration, and influencing skills. \nDemonstrated success in client-facing project leadership roles. \nStrong business acumen and commercial awareness. \nDemonstrated ability to work effectively within a matrixed and global organization. \nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience and knowledge of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). \nEPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) project experience preferred. \nPower Plant and/or Substation project experience preferred. \nPMP Certification preferred. \nLean or Six Sigma certification preferred. \nAdditional Skills\nOrganizational Skills Strong ability to manage complex schedules, resources, budgets, and project deliverables. \nCommunication Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership, clients, contractors, and project teams. \nProblem Solving Ability to identify project challenges, evaluate options, and implement effective solutions. \nTechnical Proficiency Familiarity with project management tools, methodologies, and project controls processes. Experience using Primavera P6 scheduling software is highly desirable. \nCustomer Focus Strong customer-facing presence and stakeholder management capabilities.
