The role ensures that procurement activities are carried out in accordance with project requirements, company procedures, and schedule commitments. The Buyer works closely with suppliers, engineering, project management, expediting, logistics, and other stakeholders to secure quality products and services at the most competitive terms while minimizing project risks.\nKey Responsibilities\nProcurement Execution\nPerform procurement activities for assigned material and equipment packages from requisition receipt through purchase order closeout.\nAnalyze purchase requisitions to develop appropriate sourcing strategies.\nIdentify qualified suppliers and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs).\nCoordinate with engineering and project teams to clarify technical and commercial requirements.\nSourcing and Supplier Management\nConduct supplier sourcing, prequalification, and market research activities as applicable.\nEvaluate supplier capabilities, commercial competitiveness, and delivery performance.\nMaintain productive relationships with approved suppliers and identify opportunities for supplier development.\nSupport the resolution of supplier performance issues, delivery delays, and contractual concerns.\nCommercial Evaluation and Negotiation\nPrepare commercial bid evaluations and recommendation reports.\nLead commercial negotiations covering pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and contractual conditions.\nEnsure procurement decisions achieve the best value while meeting project objectives and compliance requirements.\nIdentify cost-saving opportunities and contribute to project procurement strategies.\nPurchase Order Administration\nPrepare and issue purchase orders and amendments in accordance with company procedures.\nEnsure purchase orders accurately reflect agreed commercial and technical requirements.\nMonitor supplier compliance with contractual obligations.\nManage purchase order documentation and maintain procurement records.\nJob Qualifications\nEducation\nBachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.\nExperience\nMinimum of three (3) years of purchasing or procurement experience.\nPreferably with experience in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction), Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, Mining, or other heavy industrial projects.\nExperience handling equipment and bulk material procurement is an advantage.\nTechnical Competencies\nStrong knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and contract administration.\nExtensive commercial and contractual knowledge.\nFamiliarity with supplier evaluation and bid analysis methodologies.\nUnderstanding of project procurement lifecycle and project execution requirements.\nBehavioral Competencies\nStrong communication and presentation skills.\nExcellent negotiation and influencing abilities.\nGood interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.\nStrong organizational and time management capabilities.\nAbility to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining quality.\nFast learner with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nCapable of working independently with minimal supervision.\nDemonstrates accountability, initiative, and attention to detail.\nTo be Considered Candidates:\nMust be authorized to work in the country where the position is located.\nWe are an equal opportunity employer.
