This position is under the direct supervision of the Quality Control Lead. The objective of this position is to assure our clients and Fluor that project activities comply with the quality requirements stipulated in our prime contracts.\nMonitor/inspect project and construction execution by regular surveillance and/or inspection.\nReview and approve contractor inspection and test plans submitted per contract requirements; identify appropriate hold or witness points on inspection and test plans\nPerform physical inspection of one or more discipline activities, which may include civil, concrete, buildings, welding, piping, fixed and rotating equipment, electrical, control systems, coatings, insulation, and non-destructive testing.\nEnsure that documentation is being completed, signed off, and compiled as the work progresses to support turnover and record retention activities at the project site.\nDocument, evaluate, and resolve issues and nonconformances within the corrective action program.\nPlan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff.\nOther duties as assigned.\nBasic Job Requirements\nAccredited two (2) or three (3) year Technical or Engineering Technology diploma or global equivalent in applicable field of study and eight (8) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to ten(10) years if there is no accreditation; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local regulations\nAbility to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors\nJob related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job\nAbility to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines\nAbility to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner\nOther Job Requirements\nMust be able to provide proof of U.S. citizenship.\nPrior experience performing quality activities in the nuclear industry.\nPhysical ability to lift 25 lbs. and climb ladders.\nAbility to perform duties on an active construction site.\nWorking knowledge of requirements for material traceability and identification.\nWorking knowledge of nuclear quality assurance requirements.\nPreferred Qualifications\nFour (4) years of quality assurance/quality control work experience with at least two (2) years supervision experience.\nCurrent holder of AWS CWI or SCWI accreditation\nExperience with AISC and RCSC standards for structural steel and structural bolted connections\nComputer and software competence including word processing, email, and spreadsheets.\nOral and written communication skills.\nAbility to work well with others.\nWe are an equal opportunity employer.
