This role will participate in FEED activities from the Houston office and support on-site construction execution in South Texas. The successful candidate will help lead construction activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards.\nThe Construction Manager II will work closely with project leadership, contractors, subcontractors, and client representatives to coordinate construction execution in a complex industrial environment. Experience with Advanced Work Packaging (AWP), WorkFace Planning (WFP), modular construction, and EPC project delivery is essential.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport the planning and execution of modularized downstream EPC construction projects from FEED through completion.\nOversee field construction activities in accordance with project drawings, specifications, schedules, budgets, and safety requirements.\nEnsure compliance with Fluor operating systems, project procedures, and implementation plans.\nCoordinate labor, materials, equipment, tools, and subcontractors to maximize productivity and cost efficiency.\nMonitor project progress, productivity, costs, and schedules, implementing corrective actions when required.\nProvide leadership and direction to construction supervisors, superintendents, safety personnel, quality teams, and support staff.\nPromote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all applicable safety standards and regulations.\nMaintain quality performance through adherence to procedures, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nServe as a key liaison between project teams, clients, subcontractors, and corporate leadership.\nSupport project controls, contract administration, workforce planning, and resource management activities.\nProvide timely updates on project performance, risks, and milestones to project stakeholders.\nBasic Job Requirements\nBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline with 16+ years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and directly related experience totaling 20 years.\nDemonstrated experience with Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) and WorkFace Planning (WFP).\nExperience on large-scale modularized downstream EPC construction projects.\nStrong knowledge of construction management, project execution, scheduling, cost control, and industrial construction practices.\nExcellent leadership, communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting multi-billion-dollar industrial construction projects.\nKnowledge of project controls, contract management, workforce planning, and industrial relations.\nProven leadership, negotiation, conflict resolution, and presentation skills.\nStrong customer-service orientation and client relationship management experience.\nExcellent critical-thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.\n\nOther Job Requirements\nCore Competencies\nConstruction Leadership\nModular Construction Execution\nAdvanced Work Packaging (AWP)\nWorkFace Planning (WFP)\nProject Scheduling & Cost Control\nSafety & Quality Management\nContract Administration\nResource Planning\nTeam Development & Mentoring\nRisk Management\nClient Relationship Management\nThis role offers an opportunity to contribute to the successful delivery of major industrial EPC projects while driving safety, operational excellence, and construction performance.\nWe are an equal opportunity employer.
