The advanced knowledge is in a field of science or learning and gained through a prolonged course of specialized intellectual instruction, experience, and expertise acquired in the field. The purpose of this position is to provide technical expertise in multiple areas of Process Technology or Mechanical Systems Engineering design.\nThe role leads other engineers in executing project assignments and may oversee several teams of engineers with a focus on Nuclear Power Plants, both conventional reactor designs and Small Module Reactor technologies.\nMay lead a process team on a project overseeing design of several process areas or units to develop drawings and specifications for study, feasibility, Front End Engineering Development (FEED), or Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) for these units/systems\nDevelop Process Technology Quality and Activity Plans for moderate to intermediate size projects\nPropose/develop cost effective work processes (project specific) to ensure Fluor’s success\nProvide execution support in the implementation of the Project Execution Plan\nPerform inspections and audits of activities to determine conformance to specified requirements\nExecute Fluor’s scope of work according to contract requirements\nPrepare design margin tables to support Value Improvement Practice\nInterface with client representatives: project, planning, process and instrument engineers, operations and maintenance to align contract requirements and expectations\nInterface with Fluor discipline engineers to develop interdisciplinary drawings and specifications\nProvide support to Fluor project team members to enhance Fluor’s understanding of client technology and business objectives\nExecute studies as required and/or needed to provide cost effective facilities\nInitiate and maintain contacts and liaison with engineering and management as well as individuals, organizations, and companies with special knowledge, expertise, and services pertaining to Process Technology\nDevelop methods, techniques, and procedures for the implementation and trouble shooting of special Process Technology work processes\nReview project schedules and assist in development of work plans to support project milestones\nAnalyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines\nOrganize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines\nPlan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff\nMaintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards\nAdhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies\nEffectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job\nMay need to travel to attend to business related matters\nMeet expectations on attendance and punctuality\nOther duties as assigned\nBasic Job Requirements\nAccredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and twenty (20) years of work-related experience; a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements\nAbility to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders\nJob related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job\nAbility to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines\nAbility to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner\nOther Job Requirements\nMust have an accredited (4) year degree or global equivalent in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.\nExperience in designing and analyzing Nuclear Island support systems within Reactor Building and Radioactive Waste building.\nFamiliarity with ASME Section III design\nUnderstanding of ASME NQA-1 standards for nuclear quality assurance and ability to implement and maintain quality assurance programs in compliance with ASME NQA-1 requirements.\nFamiliarity with NRC regulatory requirements and standards.\nKnowledge of radiation protection principles\nAbility to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors\nAbility to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines\nAbility to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner\nPreferred Qualifications\nWe are an equal opportunity employer.
