Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements. Set up components for welding according to specifications. Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded. Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces. Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions. Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps. Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws. Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety. Other duties as assigned.\nAs directed by management, may supervise employees or subcontractor personnel in accordance with the \"General Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities\" addendum.\nBasic Job Requirements\nHigh school diploma / GED equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and five (5) years to eight (8) years related experience.\nOther Job Requirements\nRequires the job knowledge, skill level and physical ability necessary to perform assigned job functions.\nTo ensure compliance with safety, health and security requirements in the contract, employee will possess the ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language at the intermediate level as necessary to perform assigned job functions.\nJourney level certification or equivalent required\nMust be a U.S. Citizen\nMust have a Secret Security Clearance\nPosition may be located in a wide variety of environments, from conventional indoor office workspace to project worksites with harsh, working and living conditions\nPreferred Qualifications\nBackground in carpentry is highly preferred\nPrior military and/or contingency experience\nTo be Considered Candidates:\nMust be authorized to work in the country where the position is located.\nWe are an equal opportunity employer.
