This position has the responsibility and accountability for the performance of the engineering team and the successful execution of all engineering work on the project. This position also leads and guides the development and implementation of the execution strategy and oversees development and enforcement of engineering budget, schedule, and quality. This role also has the responsibility to promote Fluor’s competitiveness within the global marketplace by delivering quality services of unmatched value and technical competence.\nHas overall/area responsibility and accountability for the performance of the engineering team, and the engineering execution and delivery as per the project baseline. This position performs Engineering Management responsibilities on a small to medium low to moderate risk EPFC/CM project (as defined by the Business Line) or services project or on an assigned segment of a larger project, including coordination of design activities.\nManage the interfaces between the engineering disciplines, by understanding the discipline work processes and looking ahead to identify critical busts and / or activities that need to be completed to support the execution strategy.\nSet a positive project culture in conjunction with the Project Manager and Project Director.\nLead development of Engineering component of overall project Scope of Services, Scope of Facilities, and other project baseline documents for all phases of projects.\nLead/support the development of the Project Execution Strategy for all engineering functions.\nOther duties as assigned.\nBasic Job Requirements\nAccredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering fieldof study and sixteen (16) years of work-related experience; a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required; some locations may have additional or different qualifications to comply with local requirements.\nOR\nAccredited two (2) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and eighteen (18) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twenty (20) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications to comply with local requirements.\nAbility to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.\nJob-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.\nJob related skills required - Strong leadership skills, customer focus, business acumen, influence, strategic agility, decision making, personal accountability, ownership and follow through, a team player, mentor, and coach.\nAbility to translate strategy (“what”) into actionable steps / executions plans (“how”), ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.\nHeld positions as Project Engineering Lead on FEED and Detail Design Projects.\nProfessional registration and active participation in technical society.\nOther Job Requirements\nPreferred Qualifications\nUS Citizen or Green Card holder with current or past clearance to work on nuclear projects\nPrevious experience with nuclear power plant design, including Reactor Building, Radioactive Waste Building, and Control Building\nExperience executing engineering work under an ASME NQA-1 quality program\nFamiliarity with nuclear industry standards and regulations\nFamiliarity with facility licensing per 10 CFR Part 50 and 10 CFR Part 52\nFamiliarity with design and procurement of safety related and augmented quality components\nWe are an equal opportunity employer.
