If this sounds like a culture you would like to work in, you’re invited to apply for this role.\nFluor is a leading government contractor with a proven track record of delivering high-value technical solutions around the world to U.S. government agencies such as the DOE, NNSA, the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community.\nJob Description\nMechanical engineer with experience in design and application engineering of Packaged / Rotating equipment across Mining & Metals, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Manufacturing sectors such as Batteries, Pharma, etc.\nExperience in handling package / rotating equipment like:\nPumps: Centrifugal, Rotary, Positive Displacement (PD)\nCompressors: Centrifugal, Reciprocating, Screw\nFans and Blowers\nMechanical Packages: Instrument Air, Chemical Injection, Cooling Towers, Water Treatment, Chillers, Filters, Incinerators, Boilers, Desuperheaters, Static Mixers, Agitators etc.\nWell versed with relevant equipment codes & standards like API, ASME, ANSI, etc.\nRole and Responsibilities:\nPreparation of Mechanical Datasheets and Material Requisitions.\nConduct Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE), manage clarifications and issue Technical Bid Summaries / Recommendation.\nPreparation and issuance of Purchase Requisitions.\nReview of vendor drawings and documents during detailed engineering.\nCross-functional coordination with clients, vendors, and other disciplines.\nParticipation in Design Review Meetings, PIMs, HAZOPs, and Model Reviews.\nManage change control and track package-level modifications.\nSupport inspection and testing activities.\nParticipate in expediting visits, shop inspections, and performance test runs\nBasic Job Requirements\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.\n5-20 years of experience into design and detail engineering.\nStrong technical, analytical, and communication skills.\nAbility to work in multicultural, global project environments across time zones.\nAbility to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors\nJob related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job\nAbility to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines\nAbility to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner\nProfessional registration\nAdvanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards, commercial availability and cost of materials\nPractical field experience\nIntermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programs\nOther Job Requirements\nPreferred Qualifications\nWe are an equal opportunity employer.
