The purpose of these positions is to provide essential administrative processes and technical knowledge to produce designs and 2D and 3D layout of moderate to complex advanced scope in close cooperation with the discipline engineers and leads. The specific duties associated with the positions will include but not necessarily be limited to:\nPerform pipe wall thickness calculations per relevant codes (e.g., ASME B31.3).\nDevelop and maintain piping material specifications and line classes.\nPrepare technical documentation for procurement packages.\nCoordinate with engineering and procurement teams to ensure material compliance.\nSupport quality and standards adherence across deliverables.\nReview drawings and vendor equipment documentation of basic to moderate complexity within the discipline and from other disciplines for compliance with project requirements and actively seek discrepancy resolution.\nPerform bulk material take-off analysis and tabulations. Adhere to industry codes and standards as well as department practices and procedures.\nAnalyze and make independent recommendations to solve problems with moderate complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines.\nLiaise with third parties representatives to align design interface requirements and expectations.\nUnderstand and follow the effort-hours budget and process schedule.\nOther duties as assigned.\nBasic Job Requirements\nAccredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and four (4) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to eight (8) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements\nAbility to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors\nJob related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job\nAbility to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines\nAbility to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner\nAdvanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards, commercial availability and cost of materials\nPractical field experience\nIntermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programs\nProfessional registration preferred\nPractical field experience\nOther Job Requirements\nRecognized Diploma in Engineering Drafting with pertaining Design or global equivalent in technical field of study\nTwo (3) years of Piping design experience is preferred\nPiping stress calculation\nStrong verbal communication and presentation skills.\nAbility to work on multiple projects\nFlexibility to work across different project phases.\nKnowledge of commercial availability and cost of materials\nPractical field experience\nIntermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programs\nPreferred Qualifications\nFluor Canada rewards hard work, knowledge, and commitment.
