Transform the future, today.\nWe are looking for New Grad Mechanical, Materials, or Metallurgical EIT’s to join our Piping Engineering team!\nPiping EIT Responsibilities: \nParticipate in materials selection for Piping and associated components.\nParticipate in the development of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).\nPrepare Piping Line Designation Tables (LDT).\nSpecify and design Piping and associated components to industry Codes and Standards.\nDevelop and review piping specifications.\nSpecify fabrication, examination and testing requirements for Piping and associated components.\nHandling Request for Quotation (RFQ), or Material Requisition (MR) packages\nPerform Technical Evaluations of bids from vendors for Piping and associated components.\nBe involved in Regulatory submissions for Piping.\nInterface with other engineering and support disciplines.\nParticipate in feasibility studies, front-end and detailed design and construction support.\nPerform detailed stress calculations and piping flexibility analysis using manual techniques and software.\nSpecify and design engineered supports for piping systems\nCoordinate with the piping design team and piping materials engineering to ensure that piping is designed and laid out consistent with code, client specifications and good engineering/fabrication practice.\nInterface with equipment, process, structural and control systems engineers to verify piping design.\nValidate piping loading on connected equipment\nCross training in Piping Materials Engineering, Piping Stress Engineering, and other Mechanical Engineering disciplines.\nObtain knowledge of ASME, API codes, NACE standards, etc.\nObtain Construction and site engineering experience.\nWork towards obtaining your Professional Engineering Designation (P.Eng) and maintaining your Professional Member status with APEGA.\nCareer Paths:\nPiping new graduates at Fluor have various career paths available based on their interests and skills:\nLead Roles: Advance to lead positions in Piping Materials, Piping Stress and overall Piping Engineering, overseeing complete Engineering and Design.\nTechnical Expertise: Specialize in a technical career and become technical Subject Matter Experts within the piping discipline.\nManagement: Progress to Engineering Managers, directing entire Engineering efforts on projects, or move into roles as Project Engineers and Project Managers.\nBasic Job Requirements\nGraduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Materials, or Metallurgical Engineering in 2026/2027.\nFamiliarity with computer applications such as piping simulation programs, spreadsheets, and word processing would be considered an asset. \nFluor's projects are organized into task forces that operate as a team.
