If this sounds like a culture you would like to work in, you’re invited to apply for this role.\nJob Description\nThis position is located at a project mine site in Bagdad, Arizona with a per-diem package\nThis position performs planning/scheduling activities for a Mining & Metal project. Reporting to the Lead Planner, this role serves as planner/Scheduler to manage engineering and construction activities performed.\nResponsibilities:\nImplement Project Planning & Scheduling strategy, plans and procedures, reflecting both company and contractor roles, responsibilities and expectations\nCoordinate the development and implementation of project Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS) in concert with Project controls Lead, Lead Planner and contractor, and in conjunction with Project Execution Plans\nCoordinate and work with project parties to generate master schedules for projects and programs applying resource loading (information availability dependent)\nPreparing labor and progress histograms (information availability dependent)\nLead and support the project team in the implementation of an integrated enterprise based, cross functional master schedule programs with various party inputs and which may involve multiple projects\nWorking closely with various disciplines in project teams to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the schedules produced without compromising your independence as a planning engineer so you’re in a position to advise project management on issues requiring judgement\nConduct the required project schedule analysis (including cost and resource loaded schedules), critical path analysis and schedule risk analysis for the project as a whole and received from contractors and/or third parties. Similarly, analysis of testing and commissioning schedules will be required.\nAnalysis and interrogation of third-party labor histograms\nPerform what-if schedule scenarios, advanced schedule analysis, and variance analysis reports.\nPerform Critical Path Analysis and report\nAnalyze deviations from the baseline in the Project Master schedule highlighting bottlenecks / delays and propose corrective actions and report\nProvide interface and quality assurance regarding tracking and reporting of schedule performance for reporting purposes and provide oversight tracking and monitoring of schedules\nOther duties as assigned\nBasic Job Requirements\nAccredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and eight (8) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twelve (12) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements\nAbility to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors \nExperience with engineering planning/scheduling and progressing for large mining or infrastructure projects\nAdvanced knowledge and experience in Primavera Project Planner.\nJob related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job\nAbility to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local and federal statutes and guidelines\nAbility to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner \nOther Job Requirements\nGood communications skills both orally and in writing \nPreferred Qualifications\nPossess practical experience in the use of the automated schedule management systems\nWe are an equal opportunity employer.
