If you value teamwork, empowerment in your career, and are eager to champion innovative and sustainable solutions to our clients, this opportunity just may be for you!\nJob Description\nProject Purchasing Manager is a key member of the Supply Chain team, responsible for executing procurement activities for materials and equipment in support of complex projects from pre-award through closeout.\nPrincipal Job Duties & Responsibilities \nExecute purchasing activities and strategy development for critical engineered equipment and major bulk materials in accordance with project requirements and material management plans\nReview the project scope of work and prime contract and develop modifications to standard templates and terms and conditions for final legal review\nPrepare bid packages, manage bidder communications and clarification meetings and administer quotation timelines\nConduct commercial bid evaluations evaluating pricing, terms, delivery, compliance and risk against project baseline documents\nIssue purchase orders and manage them through the full lifecycle, including change orders, price adjustments and supplier exceptions\nEffectively negotiate and recommend resolution to terms and conditions exceptions\nNegotiate and resolve any claims related items regarding material\nAnalyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines\nValidate supplier invoices and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner\nProvide guidance and support to intermediate and junior buyers on the project team\nCollaborate closely with Engineering, Construction, Logistics, and other project stakeholders\nLead weekly purchasing meetings to align expectations and schedules\nPlan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff\nOrganize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines\nAdhere to and support Fluor’s Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies\nMay need to travel to attend to business related matters\nMeet expectations on attendance and punctuality\nOther duties as assigned\nBasic Job Requirements\nAccredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and twelve (12) years* of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to sixteen (16) years* if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements\nAbility to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders\nJob related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job\nAbility to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines\nAbility to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner\nOther Job Requirements\nPreferred Qualifications\nAccredited degree or global equivalent\nExperience should be primarily in the area of material management\nApplicable professional certification(s) or license(s)\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills\nExcellent leadership and decision-making skills\nExperience in Mining is plus\nFluor Canada rewards hard work, knowledge, and commitment.
