This role will be part of Fluor’s Advanced Technology and Life Sciences business line.\nExecute purchasing activities for critical engineered equipment and major bulk materials in accordance with project requirements and material management plans\nPrepare bid packages, manage bidder communications and clarification meetings and administer quotation timelines\nConduct commercial bid evaluations evaluating pricing, terms, delivery, compliance and risk against project baseline documents\nIssue purchase orders and manage them through the full lifecycle, including change orders, price adjustments and supplier exceptions\nEffectively negotiate and recommend resolution to terms and conditions exceptions\nNegotiate and provide recommendations for final resolution to any claim related items regarding material\nAnalyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines\nValidate supplier invoices and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner\nCollaborate closely with Engineering, Construction, Logistics, and other project stakeholders\nPlan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff\nOrganize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines\nAdhere to and support Fluor’s Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies\nMay need to travel to attend to business related matters\nMeet expectations on attendance and punctuality\nOther duties as assigned\nBasic Job Requirements\nAccredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and eight (8) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twelve (12) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements\nAbility to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors\nJob related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job\nAbility to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines\nAbility to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner\nOther Job Requirements\nPreferred Qualifications\nAbility to communicate fluently in English (read, write, and speak)\nWorking toward applicable professional certification(s) or license(s)\nExperience should be primarily in the area of material management\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills\nExcellent computer literacy and skills\nExcellent leadership and decision-making skills\nWe are an equal opportunity employer.
